Because all you guys pressured me into it I’m reading the manga now XD I’m only on like chapter 16 though but that’s still far enough reading that I knew what was gonna happen in this episode. So my thoughts so far? Kaname is a pedobear, Zero is still hot and should get with Yuki. The biggest question I have this week is….

Who’s the trap? I mean I recall in the relevant manga chapter seeing part of someone’s hair but I couldn’t tell if it was a he or she because they didn’t show a face….but I guess it doesn’t matter when it looks like a woman but sounds like a man.

This week seems to focus on another BL pairing so now I have to remember even more names! The episode begins by showing a ronery guy without his buttsecks partner thinking about the hawt night he had before. For some reason in the flashback one of the dudes must be into S&M cause he’s got the whole blindfold thing going on. And so Riko’s life continues with Night. He begins her days by asking for a wakeup kiss and immediately getting a “NO” from her. I mean I know he’s a robot man, but he’s so freaking hot, why is she resisting! He also flexes and exercises in front of her since her ideal man was to be somewhat physically fit. Woohoo it’s finally here! So I was really excited for the manga to finally be turned into a jdrama, however there is a mass amount of changes that have been made. Do I care? Well not really. Actually I’m kind of enjoying it despite all this. Some changes are good some are bad but overall the “skeleton” of the plot has remained the same. Actually come to think of it this is basically the girl version of Weird Science and it takes place in Japan instead of America. Alright so let’s begin with the cast. Our heroine Riko is played by Aibu Saki, Night is played by Hayami Mokomichi and Soshi by Mizushima Hiro (who looks like MatsuJun without the moles.) Continue Reading »

I wasn’t really gonna do this since many people are really behind, but since someone asked here’s a brief review. For some strange reason the volume started out completely disconnected from the ending of Volume 11. For a while I felt like I was reading the wrong thing. I kept thinking “is this really vol. 12? Did I skip something…?” But lo and behold they didn’t “connect” the plot until midway through so I guess I have to give this one a thumbs down. One thing that really bugs me are chapters about sports competitions. I think they work better in anime format, but in manga format they often really bore me. I had to deal with this while reading Ouran and Kaichou wa Meido-sama as well. Continue Reading »

As I mentioned before I’d be picking up Special A. It’s supposed to air on Sundays but the raw was missing in action. Hopefully next week I can blog it on time so my Mondays aren’t so crowded. So anyway let’s start with the character designs…yes those legs are really long. I mean I know they were pretty thin in the manga, but for some reason in the anime they just seem over exaggerated? Monochrome Factor - I didn’t know anything about this show going in, and coming out all I could think of is “Yaranaika?” LOL is this a BL anime?? I’m googling everywhere and nowhere does it list it as BL, but it’s hard to think of this as anything but gay when some gay grim reaper shows up, makes out with the hero to give him “special powers” to defeat weird looking monsters..and then in the preview the gay grim reaper tells us of his fantasies with the hero. Also the only girl I saw in the show is so tsundere that every line out of her mouth sounds like someome has a knife to her throat. Some parts kinda amused me and I let out a chuckle, but all the BL crap is too much! I can’t take it!! Can someone confirm whether this show is BL or not?
