Just like Aroduc my old school fire is burning with delight the moment I heard Megumi Hayashibara voicing our orange haired heroine. I’m not covering Sekitits or Mahou Tsukai because I disliked both (as I pretty much expected.) You can read JP’s post on it and well with the slice of life show, why the hell is it just photos of backgrounds? Like I could go take my moblog, add some royalty free music and add a few close up face shots and voila! I made an anime! So basically my Wednesday pick up will be Slayers. Continue Reading »

Back last
year I mentioned how it would be awesome to have an adult only anime convention. Sure we still have tards over 21, but the majority is in the under 18 range. I actually seriously thought about attending Providence Anime Conference, until of course they posted their registration procedure. It’s $65 for the first 250 people, and after that it goes up to $75. Are you fucking joking? Lol. Just because we’re adults, doesn’t give them justification to charge ridiculous pricing. Their “reasoning” is that we have less people, therefore less funding and therefore they need to jack up the price. Excuse me, but Manga Next cost like $15 in its first year and it had a 2000 person cap too so don’t give me that crap. While I still think the con is a good idea, I’ll let someone who has money to waste visit it for me and write up a review. For now I think I’ll stick to New York Anime Festival for my fall convention.

I feel like
such a nerd writing this, but this could possibly be relevant to all you anime hobby related photographers (figures, cosplay etc.) As you all know I love cosplay as well as taking cosplay photos (of people who cosplay things other than Bleach & Naruto these days though). The annoying part is, when I get home I have to open up my camera SD card, stick it into the laptop copy the photos and upload them to the internets. Unless I have some sort of wireless access at the time, I really can’t do this until I get back from the anime convention. Continue Reading »

Alright
so I really enjoyed the ending of this series a lot more than Yukan Club. I guess I’m biased because I work at a Japanese company and I can relate to some of the retarded crap that went on in the show. Also I’m an old fart so any work drama I can relate to I’d probably enjoy. The only thing that I wish they had was some romance between Hiroko and Tanaka, but I guess I’ll take what I can get with the “I like…the you that’s so disorganized and hard working” or whatever he said.
