After seeing Seth’s post on the Mario version of Kumikyo I searched it on NicoNico. I found the original (which I earlier saw the single sung versions by fans of). You definitely think of yourself as some kind of niconico veteran if you can name at least 6 of the songs in this medley.

Anyway a bunch of people who sound like the cast of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu got together and sung their own version of the song. They also changed the lyrics which are pretty funny (especially Kyon’s “Why must I get killed!!?” xD)

Even Japan hates Da Capo cause there’s a tag on Nico that says ダ・メーポⅡSS (damepo - looks like a failure) lol. Once again Yoshiyuki fucks up and breaks a girl’s heart, except this time its Yume instead of Koko. For some god knows what reason, he forgot Yume’s birthday and for another inexplicable reason Otome decides she needs to go out and be Sherlock Holmes instead of staying home with Yume to celebrate (despite getting her a present.) As luck would have it, Yoshiyuki gets stuck in the mall as it closes and so he comes home at like 3AM (which by then Yume is already given up and in bed I guess?) Otome still hasn’t gotten home by then but she is on her way and then is distracted by another “incident” and there she sees Sakura. Also someone said Sakura is 68 years old - lol she’s a gilf.

After much google talk discussions (and threats, lulz etc.) DS, JP and I are officially signed up to host a panel for NYAF on that Saturday (I think 9/27) afternoon. So those of you who are in the surrounding areas (and you know who you are) better show up For those coming, I have a buttload of my artwork prints to give out for free! As suggested earlier, I’m also gonna try to hook up a mic to my laptop that I’ll be bringing and try to record the entire thing in mp3 format to upload later so everyone can listen.

For no apparent reason, here comes episode 3 of Itazura na Kiss This week’s episode dealt with the sports festival. Before I go into the summary a few points of interest are Kotoko’s hair and the lack of eyes on all the side characters. She wears her hair in 2 tiny braids that stick out and make her look like Pippi Long Stocking. During the festival, even if the side characters/other classmates are in a closeup they still have no face. I mean is it that hard to draw something like (○・v・◎)? Also it seemed like Kotoko’s dad had the camera glued to his face 80% of this episode, even when they were eating lunch lol. Continue Reading »

Well what did you expect? It’s a yaoi/BL anime based on a yaoi BL manga. It reminds me of Gravitation a lot because at first the protagonist is like “I DON’T LOVE MEN” then he suddenly realizes he wants some in his butt and so we get a BL anime. Continue Reading »

Sorry not many pictures today. Photos are now up in the usual location (Click on Anime Boston in the left menu). Anyway…while today was a little better due to most people now having gotten their con membership, it still didn’t change the fact that people were willing to only buy specifically what they want no matter how cheap or expensive it is. So the latest craze that seems to hit the anime fanart world is Tegaki. It’s been popular in Japan before but recently someone had opened up an English version for English speakers to post their doodles. Tegaki is basically a Java/Flash version of MS Paint. Your tools are just pencils and colors. The rest is up to you. This makes it interesting to see who will post random doodles and who spends countless of hours making their art looks just as good as someone in an art program.

I decided to jump on the bandwagon because this is a good chance for me to practice my drawing since I got the coloring thing down but my proportions look like crap as always.

It’s also a good way to get yourself to practice the basics, because in a tegaki, if you don’t have that down, the rest looks like crap and won’t make your picture look any better. Give it a shot if you want to improve your drawing or at least give yourself an excuse to draw more often.
