And so after 5 years the Karin manga comes to a close. While it was actually a shounen (seinen maybe?) manga, the ending made it feel like a shoujo one to me lol. Whatever though, it was satisfying and it brought me to tears so I give it a 5 star rating and recommend everyone check it out. (Although with the English version being called Chibi Vampire I’m recommending the Japanese one or a scanlation if possible. )

Anyway the plot leaves off at volume 13 where Karin was being captured by Bridget and vampire buddies along with Tachibana and her uncle. Continue Reading »

Haha that was a great finale! Coulda done without the drool though :P. Should I safely say I’m happy that my “OTP came true” even though TECHNICALLY Ren is still everyone’s Butler. I’m also happy to see Shinra paying attention to Yume because Miyu is tsuntsun xD The Ageha thing was kinda annoying at the end…I honestly was like bah go away woman, you already made out with Ren for like 2 episodes. Oh and of course my favorite part was when Benice beat up Ren’s dad 20 times.

I was like that’s right you show him lmao. I was so disappointed when Shinra told Ren to stop I’m like NOOO please beat him up. So yea thanks Benice, you rocked from beginning to end.

Ah well cute series, the kiss scene just moved it up to a 9 for me. Time to update my anime list!

I forgive the scene of Kyou cockblocking at the beginning because the rest of the episode was dedicated to Nagisa & Tomoya. Thank you Mei, you have saved me from making another flaming post.

Also drmchsr0 must be wetting his pants after seeing Seen666 animated.

I was suddenly reminded of the nausea from the Fung Wa bus to Boston when watching this scene.

Yea yea we all knew it was coming. I was secretly hoping that at least Mao and/or Koiichi would end up alone - hell at one point of the episode I thought they were all gonna go yaoi and yuri it up but yea Futami got Kazuki and Maou (pun intended) got Koiichi. Yumi & Asuka get shafted, Kai becomes a jazz pimp. What a drag. I think I woulda been happier if this was a 1 shot OAV where the character has a childhood friend, tries to date another girl, but realizes that the childhood friend is still the one he loves. We didn’t need 24 episodes of the same old shit over & over again. J.C. Staff once again you fail with flying colors. I can’t even begin to imagine the horrors that await me in Zero no Tsukaima 3.

I was going to do a detailed Clannad post but the episode is on JP’s computer (which I watched Saturday morning before the con) and I don’t feel like transferring it. Have a game CG. Frankly I’m happy yet disappointed. I’m happy that Nagisa’s play scene was done really well, much better than the movie actually. I’ll give KyoAni that, the Nagisa breaking down and her parents + Tomoya cheering her on was awesomely done. Know what annoys me? Broken record time - why does Nagisa’s romance scene get like…5 minutes and Pooko/Kotomi get like 6-7 episodes each. Wtf? Also Tomoya’s confession was supposed to happen during that scene where Kyo cockblocked them…better late than never right? How about no.

The next episode looks like an epic yaoi fest between Tomoya & Sunohara. I had a deep and passionate discussion about this with a girl dressed as Nagisa at Anime Boston’s artist alley. She also agreed that Nagisa got the shaft. Whatever, I guess I don’t care anymore. The show pretty much went downhill after Kotomi’s arc ended. When I was making the Kanon amv and flipping through the episodes again…I thought to myself…why couldn’t they just do Clannad this way? Why was Kanon and Air so much better directed than this? Well whatever, no use in debating over spilled milk. Let’s just hope season 2 of Haruhi is less disappointing.

P.S. No kissing in a romance show = automatic fail.

I honestly didn’t want to blog anything that aired while I was at the con but since a few shows have ended it would be kinda dumb not to blog the last episode ^^; Well I took a 2 hour nap and got my sugar from that chocolate Easter bunny so I should be all set to hammer out some posts.
