What a horrible horrible filler that was. It looks like they’re going to try and merge the Yako’s dad murder thing with Sai, but I don’t know if they will handle the Sai arc the way the manga did. They threw Yako into another country and just when she was about to be shot by 4 guys, Tuxedo Neuro shows up and blasts them off again! (+2 points if you get the anime I am referencing in that sentence.) I really couldn’t watch it the moment I saw Yako’s mom following a bunch of women in prison. My forehead was also having lunch with my desk the moment they said that Yako’s father was involved with this “witch” bullcrap that they’ve inserted into this arc.

Also, while I am a NeuYako fan, Neuro’s randomly inserted kindness to Yako is kinda weird.

Well now that most of the horrible fillers have passed, it looks like the anime is somewhat back on track. They’re finally up to the arc where Nikaido steals Amu’s eggs. Althogh it was silly because Amu ran out during dinner saying she “had to go to the bathroom” but she never came back. That’s a long crap lol! Then they pan to a scene of her at school the next morning. I mean did her parents just say “oh Amu is so cool taking a 10 hour toilet break ” Also why’s Ikuto always transforming these days ^^; (The Japanese on NicoNico think he looks really bad lol.) The first part of the episode was really dumb filler though, you basically just gotta skip to where Nikaido is at the bookstore and watch from there.

Upcoming Attractions: Amu tries to get her eggs back and runs into Utau as well. This is also in the manga so I’m hoping for another good episode.

Umm what? Can someone remind me if this was an old chapter in the manga? I have a feeling I remember some sort of an arc about someone who kept stealing faces, but I can’t recall if there was a kyuubi. Either way, it must have happened early on before the Denshi Drug HAL incident was resolved so if this really WAS in the manga what the fuck are the writers thinking putting this in AFTERwards? The arc that I thought this was gonna be was with that erojiji and the little girl - because the guy in it sorta looks like the guy in that arc. I guess I was wrong. Also how come Yako’s school uniform is the only pink one while everyone else’s is the manga color?

I think the biggest WTF moment for me was at the end when Sasazuka said that Yako’s “father incident” had some “new light shed on it” and it involved her mother who’s in another country. WTF?!? I’m afraid to even ask where they’re going with this b/s considering Yako’s dad incident got resolved after like the first 4 chapters On a happier note, I’m reading the weekly shounen jump scans (along with Naruto) so even when the anime ends, I’ll keep covering the manga (but not on a weekly basis. Only when something worth mentioning comes up.)

Wow.. that was quite chaotic. It looks like this week was almost some sort of a filler episode about Otohanata (Otoha + Hinata) creating some weird world where she was Hirose’s “fiance” and Hayami and Hotaru were his sisters x_x; They even have magical girl otoha transformations, some kind of fake parody opening theme but in the end they tried to make it all serious by showing Otoha kissing Hirose and then disappearing. I kept thinking “ok since she’s gone now does this mean he’s going blind again?” I mean really what’s the deal with his blindness? It was there for like less than 1 episode and since Otoha is gone, is he permanently able to see? Talk about loose ends.

I AM FULL OF FANGIRL RAGE. You know I actually enjoyed this filler despite them twisting everything around and adding a really annoying loli. However, I’m annoyed to no end at what they have done to Ikuto’s character. He went from being a cute teasing cat boy, to this serious business emo dickhead. What the hell!? Why has his personality been wiped off the face of this anime? Also what the hell is the deal with Tadase suddenly liking Amu as herself? Clannad is starting to remind me of this song by B’z called “Lady-Go-Round“. (Which was actually translated by me back in my B’z fangirl days.) It’s like 1 girl comes, goes, next one arrives. While I think their temporary kicking of Nagisa out of the picture is a good way to focus on the other girls’ stories - the fact that they’re trying to smush Tomoyo AND Kyo/Ryo it’s starting to become some kind of nabe pot, and not the good kind. Despite a filler it actually surprised me. Never the less thanks to NicoNico it was pretty amusing to watch. Most of the comments were “what the hell is this show?” Most of my comments were “read the manga, Nikaido die!” xD Just when I thought Kuukai was gonna get posessed by the X egg thing and then Amu would have to save him in some stupid way - it turns out him and Tadase were playing all along to lure Nikaido. Whoaa go figure lol! That was pretty awesome team play - even if it was a filler. Because of that I’ll forgive this filler. xD

Upcoming Attractions: Lols looks like they’re gonna animate the date episode between Amu and Tadase. The only thing I look fwd to is Ikuto finally coming back
