Since the Haruhi doujinshi I drew was sold out this morning, I put up a poll recently in regards to me selling my “sold out” doujinshi on DLSite like I had originally intended to. While I was about to sign up this evening, I started to read their terms of service and I came across an interesting paragraph:

While the creation of Parody works are active among Japanese creators, We are still investigating the legal status on Parody works created within outside of Japan. Therefore, at this point, we can not accept any product that features existing licensed characters from Anime, Games or other mediums.

So basically, unless I wanna make original character doujins (which no one on there will care to buy) and post it there, DLSite will not accept my work. I don’t know when they plan to change this rule, or if they plan to change it, but all I know is, my great strive for online doujin sales is pretty much over at this point. I’m sure you guys are gonna say “just do it anyway, no one will care” but it’s less of a load on my back to deal with honestly. Last thing I need is Kyoto Animation sending me threatening emails or something

Ah well for those who didn’t get a copy all I can tell you is better luck next time

Anyway…while today was a little better due to most people now having gotten their con membership, it still didn’t change the fact that people were willing to only buy specifically what they want no matter how cheap or expensive it is. So here comes my report for Friday. I’m going to start out by saying I feel incredibly let down and almost heart broken because I completely overestimated the kind of audience that would attend this convention. Prints I’ll be selling at the con.

So here I am preparing for Anime Boston. I have been on & off but it’s crunch time now because it’s only 2 weeks away. My biggest worry is my Haruhi doujinshi. The guy who was supposed to print it originally told me in early February that his printer broke. I had then go with another printer and my order has been “print pending” on their stupid que for the last 3 weeks. I requested this stuff to be mailed no later than March 11th so I guess I won’t panic just yet. If I end up at the con with only 8 leftover doujinshis though they will feel the wrath of my fangirl rage. Continue Reading »

For those unfamiliar with DLSite it’s basically a site which allows artists,creators etc to sell their games, doujinshi, illustration collections online. Unfortunately most of it is pr0n but there’s a section for women that has some yaoi and non porno stuff. The English section I believe is anything and everything.

Dear Japan: YOU SICK FUCKS. Stop making Shugo Chara hentai doujin. She’s fucking 11 years old. Stop making doujins about her peeing, and most of all stop making doujins about her getting raped by her dad who is “possessed by an evil egg” bullshit. Holy shit that was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever fucking read. I was hoping at first they’d have Ikuto come save her or something but no, it was a bunch of sick fuck bullshit the whole time, with the last panel her saying “I want to die”. Who wouldn’t? God the sick fuck who made this needs to go shoot himself in the head or jump off a building. Not even adding an image to this post, I’m enraged and insulted at the same time.
