So along with the sad news of Mainichi Daily News being killed off, apparently the creator of Rurouni Kenshin got pissed off that everyone made horrible (and by horrible I mean awesome) parody videos with his characters doing all sorts of crazy shit. Soo apparently they’re now becoming very scarce on NicoNico too. In fact the Futae no Kiwami tag seems to be gone and I think people are using “FA” in its place for now.
Youtube Mirror
This is the best video an artist did that portrays the remains and legacy Futae no Kiwami AAA!! I gotta say though, Nico’s golden year was definitely 2007, early 2008. Now with them being stricter than Youtube, it’s really lost it’s magic for me.
Finally here’s a great video that still contains original Futae no Kiwami video footage, that was deleted off Nico but remains on Youtube (for god knows how long.)

Breaking news: Because I was sick and tired of this con I decided to ditch the eroge panel. I also couldn’t even get in touch with my co-panelists because one of them doesn’t have a cell phone and I didn’t have the phone # of the other one. In addition, the idiotic subway system decided this was a great weekend to do subway maintenance on the one line that goes from my apartment to Manhattan causing subway platforms to fill up all the way and the fact that I’d have to wait for a shuttle at midnight in the ghetto. So with all that in mind, I decided to call it a day by 6:30 PM. Continue Reading »

I haven’t
blogged this show the last few weeks because I’d download the episode and then just skim through it. It turns out that Sakura’s childhoo memory was revealed in the last episode making it so basically you can just watch ep 1 and ep 10 and not really miss out on the “plot”. What happened was they were supposed to kidnap Udagawa shota cause he’s rich, but they made a mistake and kidnapped Sakura instead. Miyuki-sensei was there and she wanted to save her so she played devil’s advocate and made a lie about one of the guys involved in the kidnapping. With this she also was forced to kill 2 people because one of them wanted to blackmail her for the incident. The only funny part in this episode was at the end where Sakura remembered that Udagawa-shota fell for her when she was a loli.
Eh can’t say much for this series, it was really disappointing.

You know
what’s annoying about Hikari’s stupid speech about Special A? She says “We’re NOT Special.” Woman, did you forget your English? TOKUBETSU = SPECIAL.
So in general the entire story of this episode was retarded and really it was just to make Ryu look extra awesome. Well at least the Ryu looking extra awesome worked well. Also while we’re getting closer to Hikari and Kei’s “relationship”, I’m still having trouble adjusting myself to Kei and his tone of voice in general. I know that Fukuyama Jun can do a cuter voice (like Keita from Inukami) and at this point he just sounds like an obnoxious faggot. Like geez dude, pull that pole outta your butt when you speak.
Also, I don’t remember this in the manga, but was Yahiro responsible for the crap in this episode? If not, I’m really annoyed with the anime making him the huge bad guy of the series when he’s not.
Upcoming Attractions: Tadashi & Hikari’s bootleg date.

Special A
is like that Monday show that I LEAST look forward to every week. I just don’t know what it is anymore. Maybe the fact that I’m once again like “ohh boy poor Kei, Hikari is still dense as a brick she’ll come around”. Or maybe it’s the fact that the general execution of the show…just bores me? Does anyone else feel this way? Or rather, is anyone watching this show and thinking it’s particularly awesome? What is it that you find awesome about it? I’m having a hard time figuring this out. I look forward to Soul Eater so much Mondays and that’s on the like polar opposite end of my interest for Special A. It’s too bad since I really liked the manga. Maybe some things just don’t transfer quite as well….cause in the manga I really liked the scene of Hikari admitting to Kei that “he may like her”.
