I finally read through my Inukami vol. 1-5 that I picked up a couple months ago. Let me just say one thing that will probably disappoint Inukami anime fans: There were no elephant wangs. I was pretty surprised but while the entire anime seemed to focus on elephant wangs and perverted mans who shake their parts in public, the manga just specifically focused on well..Inukami and mostly Keita and Youko. I’m not sure if this manga is still going as I haven’t seen any new volumes past 5 anywhere but pretty much everything you find in the manga you’ll have seen in the anime - sans the elephants. So between last week and now, I actually read all of the Soul Eater manga released in Japan to date..meaning I’m up to ch. 47 and past volume 11. This means I have a crapload of spoilers but I know a lot of people have not read this far so I’m having a hairy time figuring out a good way to blog this show. I’m sure by now everyone’s sick of the Eva movie posts but now that the DVD is finally out (no I didn’t bother watching the cam rip lol) I decided to do a comparison to the retro Eva DVDs that JP had. (I never had Eva DVDs because my Eva episodes were in VivTV and MPEG 10 points if you know what VivTV is. ) I had no idea what this movie consisted of but it’s literally Evangelion episodes 1-6 smushed into 1 hour and 37 minutes that have been completely reanimated with super CG angels! Since just rewatching them in movie form would be boring I figured the most fun thing to do is compare! And boy did the retro waves of 90s animation hit me hard. Massive image flood after the jump! So as recommended by someone in my late show post from last week I guess I’ll continue blogging both broadcasts until it’s apparent that the differences are too minor. The end of the episode confirmed that the prologue is over and that the story will begin. I’ve really jumped on the Soul Eater bandwagon after NYCC. That’s right it’s an otome game where you get to do your brothers! Well step brothers that is. When I first started playing this game I was excited by 2 factors. One, Koyasu Takehito was in it. Also the guy who voiced all those dudes in the other otome games I played was in it too. (He was Leni in Under the Moon). That happiness was quickly dispelled the moment that their characters were angry and/or emo. Well it was still pretty amusing so I decided to roll with it anyway. Aaaand we’re back with another 13 episodes of Da Crapo season 2. Everyone was concerned that I wasn’t picking up the fanservicy shows to flame, but that’s because I was saving my seasonal grill for this show! Since we know that season 1 ended on a shitty note, season 2 doesn’t start out any different. The ending of episode 1 somewhat intrigued me though so this show will be added to my Saturday line up.
