Blah so last week I was hoping that this week they’d dig deeper into stuff about Sakura’s past but the “aliens” basically wiped out all thoughts she had of it. Wait so what now? Are they gonna just throw it on the backburner until like episode 9 or something? The only pleasant surprise was that this week the first time Sakura was “wrong” but then was right the 2nd time. The sap story this week is the daughter killed her father because he left their mother when she was young. Also I LOLed at the alien otakus who threw water balloons at the lady because she wanted to cancel their little alien convention.

In other news, Sen no Kaze ni Natte is finally out of the top 50. Let’s hope it stays that way.

So DS brought up this idea: Let’s run an anime blogger panel at new york anime festival! I thought “eh why, it would be all boring like that ANN panel last year” but then I thought from another point of view… It can be BETTER than the ANN panel cause we don’t need to talk about main stream licensed shit. It’s been a while so let me flame a bit (in light of recent events dorama while I’m at it.) Also I can’t believe we’re almost at chapter 400 =_=; Oh woe is us, Uchiha were the poor defenseless clan that Konoha hated! Now the buttsecks relationship between Sasuke and Naruto is stronger because Naruto was ALSO oppressed. Wow Konoha village people are just a bunch of oppressive assholes who gang up on everyone relating to the Uchiha! I bet soon we’ll hear that the reason Naruto was hated was not because he was a Kyuubi container, but because the Kyuubi incident was thought to be caused BY the Uchiha clan! Continue Reading »

I finally read through my Inukami vol. 1-5 that I picked up a couple months ago. Let me just say one thing that will probably disappoint Inukami anime fans: There were no elephant wangs. I was pretty surprised but while the entire anime seemed to focus on elephant wangs and perverted mans who shake their parts in public, the manga just specifically focused on well..Inukami and mostly Keita and Youko. I’m not sure if this manga is still going as I haven’t seen any new volumes past 5 anywhere but pretty much everything you find in the manga you’ll have seen in the anime - sans the elephants. I have been regretting little by little for registering for Anime Next and after the flood of incoherent teenage brats who flamed my Sakura Matsuri post, the lack of communication from the artist alley, and the fact that the anime next website goes down at least once a day has increased my general downturn on the whole thing. I only registered because someone invited me to help them with a panel on eroge/otome games and at the time I was really excited to help - but now I wish I never agreed to do this. Nothing against the panelists or the panel itself, but frankly I have this disgusted feeling at this whole thing to the point where I don’t want to contribute anything to anyone there. Woooooww they changed so many things around I have to rant. All the great things about the love of the “robot boyfriend” that were in the manga were basically thrown out in the drama. I mean really what’s the point of calling it “absolute boyfriend” when they coulda just called it “absolute robot lover” or something. He’s not Riko’s boyfriend in her eyes and never was since day one. Even when her “best friend” (which was demoted to “friend” this week) takes him, she goes off flirting with her boss.
