Picked this up yesterday along with the Newtype magazine. Also FYI the next volume will be released in the fall ;_; Such a long wait for Shoujo manga tankoubon releases… They really should turn this into an anime…it would be such an awesome shoujo series. I mean really if they can make an anime out of Special A, they really can make one out of this. The two actually have a lot in common - especially the part about the heroine being dense as a brick and the main guy being head over heels for her! I actually enjoyed this volume (especially the last chapter) but I was really disappointed as I felt the buildup for all the shoujoey moments was in vain…because after the build up - there was nothing. After much google talk discussions (and threats, lulz etc.) DS, JP and I are officially signed up to host a panel for NYAF on that Saturday (I think 9/27) afternoon. So those of you who are in the surrounding areas (and you know who you are) better show up For those coming, I have a buttload of my artwork prints to give out for free! As suggested earlier, I’m also gonna try to hook up a mic to my laptop that I’ll be bringing and try to record the entire thing in mp3 format to upload later so everyone can listen.

Well it looks like we finally hit the big 4 - 0 - 0…and the manga has turned into an Uchiha pity fest featuring Konoha as the bad guys. I guess now we can see where Danzou was involved (but he seemed suspicious from the start) but then it makes the rest of Konoha seem like a bunch of evil assholes who once again oppressed the Uchihas + Naruto. ARGHHH I’m getting annoyed with this drama beyond belief but I can’t stop watching it in the hopes that it will get better but it just keeps getting worse!! Riko is STILL pushing poor Night to the side and babbling on and apologizing to Soushi…who in turn takes all the cream puff blame on himself and goes as far as to demote himself in order for Riko not to lose her job. I got an email from Sasa-tan a few days ago about a movement against the ABC to promote collaborative work between female bloggers. At first I was like “lawl poor Owen” but when I read some of their topic suggestions I was like “you know this could be a pretty awesome idea.” It would also help bring out female bloggers from the woodwork as I know they’re around but some of them should really post more often So yea I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I don’t know if I’ll have any wild ideas to contribute because I feel like I’ve ranted about most things I could rant about but I’m definitely open to topic discussions if I have something to say - which is how it should be anyway. The topics seem like something that’s better discussed by a female blogger rather than a man trying to hide is wiener. Blah so last week I was hoping that this week they’d dig deeper into stuff about Sakura’s past but the “aliens” basically wiped out all thoughts she had of it. Wait so what now? Are they gonna just throw it on the backburner until like episode 9 or something? The only pleasant surprise was that this week the first time Sakura was “wrong” but then was right the 2nd time. The sap story this week is the daughter killed her father because he left their mother when she was young. Also I LOLed at the alien otakus who threw water balloons at the lady because she wanted to cancel their little alien convention.
