I know
it’s been a while since I blogged Yukan Club but I figured I might as well say a few words since it’s the last episode. The 2 episodes prior to this were really boring to me and I just ended up scrolling through because I just couldn’t watch it. The problem with this show is that you can only watch the exact same plotline for so long. I almost couldn’t make it through this episode but things got interesting when the Yukan Club gang got their asses kicked and had to take a more tricky approach to beat the bad guy. Also the story is about them “saving the school”. I didn’t expect a grand finale but I guess this is a bit disappointing and incomplete. At this rate they coulda just ended it on like episode 6 and it wouldn’t have made a difference. Ah well if you’re looking for a good Junno drama I recommend Hanayome to Papa, and a god Jin drama I recommend Anego.

If you
didn’t have enough Johnny’s idol boys in this drama, they throw in another one by featuring Koyama Keiichiro from NEWS this week. Koyama plays Yuuya who while he seems like a bad guy who gets into fights a lot, is actually sort of like a robin hood because he tries to do good. He saves Noriko from a bunch of nanpa yaro’s and while at it totally wins her heart helping her cure of her man-hatred lol. This doesn’t go well by Seishiro who says that the two of them are from “different worlds”. Meh it was still a cute episode, in the end Yuuya goes back to his hometown to help take care of his sick mother and gives Noriko a goodbye kiss - on the forehead (cause god forbid Johnny’s idols do the lip thing!) I still would like to see some Seishiro x Noriko thing near the end.

I really enjoyed
this week’s episode because rather than focusing on a random person and a random crime, it focuses on the discord between the members of the club. I had small hopes between a Noriko x Seishiro thing but they said that she only sees him like an older brother. So while she gets upset that he is acting like a corporate salary man dick, it’s mainly because of her concern for him in a sibling sort of way. I dunno I could totally see them together, a lot more than like him with Yuri. Poor Yuri having to go through “lady training”. Who the hell can walk with a vase on their head anyway ?_? If you ever wanted to see KAT-TUN vs Kanjani8 again, well now you get your chance with Jin fighting Yokoyama.
Upcoming Attractions: Noriko falls in love for real this time.

So does
anybody still want me blogging this show? It appears the fansubs come out before I even watch the raw so seems like doing a summary for the raw watchers is kinda pointless. I do enjoy watching the show but not too many people who visit this blog care for my drama posts so I was thinking of dropping it. (Again I will probably still watch it but yea you know enjoy it in my own little sardine can subway car rather than babbling about it here.) This week involved a generic story about a randy gilf who dies and turns into a ghost that wants to take Grandmarnie to the underworld with her. They included those creepy Japanese dolls too. God I hate Japanese dolls, if I were a child I’d run away crying. How can children enjoy them? They’re so fucking scary. I’d take a Barbie over one of those things anyday. So anyway yea if anyone still wants me blogging this, speak now or forever hold your peace.

So this week
on Yukan Club we face the age old question of a Japanese female - marry for money or marry for love. In this case, the girl in question decides to marry for love because the person she is marrying is an erojiji 20 years older than her. Karen seems to agree with her and they both say how “living” is like the “main course” while “love” is just a “dessert.” The life you live is sad. The only problem with our materialistic heroine is she has an ex-boyfriend who she still loves and had made a promise to start a sushi restaurant together. Continue Reading »

This
week wasn’t really that interesting to me. In fact I think the only part I liked was seeing Yuri’s cats XD. Kitty~~ So anyway Yuri gets attacked while walking her..cats by an old man and his son. Turns out they want to kidnap her, and because she’s a rich spoiled brat and has nothing better to do, she volunteers to be kidnapped.
So they let her get into the car and she’s all like wai wai and then Miroku passes by on his bike and she tells him to tag along for the hell of it…and for the same reasons I mentioned above, he does. Continue Reading »

I declare
Wednesday to be official drama day because there are no animes worth watching and a shitload of great dramas!!
So I decided to check out Yukan Club mainly on the fact that Akanishi Jin and Taguchi Junnosuke from KAT-TUN are in it, as well as Yokoyama Yu from Kanjani8. The drama wiki description seeemed really stupid but I’m glad I decided to watch the episode because I got really engrossed in it. It has the similar premise to Hana Yori Dango and Yamada Tarou Monogatari, but the way it’s executed seems to have less annoyances then the former. In addition I do believe this is based off a manga with the same title. Continue Reading »
