Sun, waves & sand is the theme of this week’s episode. Too bad Sano has to be a party pooper. So Mizuki & Shuichi & his gang all come down for some summer fun to help out Nanba’s mom’s place. Nanba’s mom also happens to be that nurse guy’s sister…making him Nanba’s uncle. She also accidentally discovers that Mizuki is a girl when Mizuki comes out of the women’s bath and she was right there. So this week the guys & girls schools are having a compa which appears to be some sort of a massive gokkon between them. All the guys start practicing their “charm” to woo the girls…all except for Shuichi…who only has his eyes on Mizuki. XD You know to be honest, while I know that most likely Mizuki will end up with Sano…I seriously wish she’d just somehow get discovered by Shuichi and end up with him instead. So this week Mizuki’s brother comes from America to take her back. He already knows that she’s enrolled in an all man school but it appears that he has not yet told this to her parents. He thinks that Mizuki is just a fangirl (which apparently in the manga she really is) who came to Japan because she was in love with Sano. Mizuki yells at him that he’s wrong and explains to him that him quitting the jumping is her fault and that until she can make a difference, she will not go back to America. So as I watch this drama some parts are still confusing (I’m probably just as lost as Mizuki) but I’m slowly starting to get into the groove. So the doctor figures out that Mizuki is a girl and knows that she has fake medical records. He tries to get it out of her, but is so violent that she runs off when Sano’s dog comes to her rescue. She runs off and then runs into Sano who then she has a chat with regarding his high jumping career. She says that she will try to change his mind and nothing he can do about it. Mizuki also discovers that when Sano gets drunk, he becomes a kiss devil. Continue Reading »

So I decided I’ll blog this drama because it feels like a mix of Nobuta wo Produce meets Hana Yori Dango (not to mention it contains the two main actors from each.) This drama airs on Tuesdays but because Tuesday is a massive anime day I’ll probably be rolling this back to Wednesday bloggage. I never really got on the HanaKimi bandwagon when the manga first came out so I know nothing about the story other than “A girl who likes some guy enough that she pretends to be a boy to transfer to his all-boy school.” Needless to say much of this episode confused me in all sorts of ways.
