Hanayome to Papa - 12 (Finale)
So this drama has finally reached its conclusion although I personally thought the ending for Proposal Daisakusen was better than this one even though ironically, I got the “kiss and get married” ending in this drama. I guess because this was exactly what I wanted it almost felt like a predictable disappointment. Not saying the ending was bad but I guess I wished something better would have happened. I’m sort of in a hurry to write this post so here’s a short summary. Basically Aiko’s dad goes to see Seiji’s dad who’s a total dick about Seiji taking over the family business (as usual). Eventually he even lies to Seiji and tries to get him to go through with the miai. After Seiji’s dad has a heart attack they all find out that the reason his dad wants Seiji married Asap is because well he’s gonna kick the bucket soon due to heart problems. In the meantime the girls at work find out Seiji and Aiko are engaged and Aiko is put on a special project with wedding dress designs. Unfortunately for Narumi, his father is a rival in this contest but Narumi is determined to win. At the end of the episode Aiko runs into a conversation that his dad is having at the bar and overhears that the reason her mother died is because she was too weak to give birth…so now Aiko thinks she’s the reason that her father’s “most precious person” was taken away.
This episode put all sorts of grins on my face 
So the Atlas guy called Narumi saying he wanted to do the deal and Narumi and Aiko were both really happy…that is until he got to office the next day. He got a call from I guess his agency? or whoever telling him that he’s going against contract by making such a personal deal and that they will not allow it. They were not supposed to know about this but someone, aka Makihara had leaked it and Narumi figured out that it was her. She said she did it because she was worried about the company but in reality its because she was jealous of Aiko. 
So now that Seiji and Aiko are back to raburabu land her dad is annoyed to no end at how they keep being all mushy around him. They even make a second “rule” plaque which includes “no keeping secrets” and “no kissing”. Also unfortunately for all you guys rooting for Narumi x Aiko, the show does not appear to be in that direction, it seems like a strictly professional relationship. At work, that ho still keeps hitting on Seiji but little does she realize that he doesn’t give a flying crap. Also Makihara is upset with Narumi because he is paying more attention to Aiko than her. 
Ok so that had somewhat of a different outcome than I expected! But anyway now that Aiko broke up with Seiji, that ho at work is totally hitting on him. Unfortunately since he is her assistant there’s not much he can do about it. Japan needs to seriously update and follow their workplace sexual harassment policies. Aiko is pretending to be happy by getting up super early, vacuuming and doing laundry. Aiko’s dad is trying to figure out in the meantime how to make her feel better and the bar lady lends her an ear for some girl talk. 
Aiko home and with Seiji and her father’s help dumped her on the bed. Before leaving, Narumi told Aiko’s dad that he’s “suffocating” her from become mature. Having a curfew is ridiculous and that there are many business matters that can only be done at night. Her father is shocked and with that Narumi leaves. The next morning Aiko wakes up not remembering anything from the previous night and when she finds out that what happened she rushes to apologize to her boss. His only response is that she’s coming with him to a special project meeting. 
this is in last place in my poll. It’s such a good drama!! Oh and I also discovered the Narumi’s actor is the son of the former Japanese prime minister, Koizumi O_O! It really gives you the feel for what it’s like to be entry level in the workplace and have everyone treat you like an ass and expect you to know everything right off the bat. As much a I like Proposal Daisakusen, I have to admit I enjoy watching this more simply because it’s not “photo of the week” like Proposal is and so you don’t expect things to happen like you would with that drama. Anyway so it turns out, Aiko’s dad went off to try to meet Seiji’s parents…but Seiji lied and then said that they’re off in a foreign country. This made him come back and get yelled at by Aiko.
