School Rumble II - 26 (Finale)

Okay in all seriousness that ending sucked. I mean it was funny, but the way they had set it up it felt as if there might be SOME kind of resolution. But as most of you guys predicted, they didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, so they left it pretty much open ended as usual. (I can probably think of one person who loves this kind of crap though >_>). I haven’t felt a Tenma x Harima thing since season 1, but after this episode it’s as if my ship for it has been set for sail once again. So anyway Harima calls for Yakumo to come help him with the manga because it’s due the next morning. The thing is, the one who shows up at his doorstep is Tenma, and we know how much skills she has doing anything so basically she’s just there to use Harima’s heart as a basketball. Harima tries showing her his manga so she could get his “message” to her but she’s as dense as log and it doesn’t get through. 
I recently read up to volume 13 of the School Rumble manga and was pretty surprised the anime (seasons 1 and 2) followed it so close that I actually ended up just skipping through most of the chapters going “oh well I saw this before…” I mean sure the anime had its stupid fillers (card captor Mai) and small editions but some jokes just came out funnier animated. Needless to say if I read anymore SR manga it will be whatever is AFTER the anime ends (I guess volume 14 and up?) since it’s basically the same anyway. 
Tenma is trying to lose weight but fails when Yakumo makes her a bunch of pizza rolls. Tenma then gets invited to go skiing and she takes the opportunity to lose weight that she gained over New Year’s break. Akira attempts to invite Harima by telling him Tenma is gonna be there, but he reluctantly refuses because he has no money for a skii trip, and he has to draw his manga. Tenma leaves Yakumo home alone, but little does she know that Yakumo has caught a cold. Everyone’s amazed that Tenma skii’s really well and she keeps showing off until she runs into Karasuma, who’s dressed in a snowman suit. 
Harima should just take off his sunglasses, and wear his hair like in the screenshot here, and then maybe Tenma might actually look his way. The episode begins with a corny Initial D parody, but not having seen Initial D I only got the jist of it with the racing cars and the license plate initials. Tenma has a dream that she kisses Karasuma-kun, while Harima has a dream that Tenma hugs him. Both come true, in some odd way or another. 
The whole episode was a stupid Card Captor Sakura parody mixed with Sailormoon (cause there was a Tuxedo Mask wannabe.) At the beginning there’s a scene where she has to rescue a bullied school kid but when she comes they’re like “You’re in high school and still being a magical girl? You old bag!” She gets pissed and wacks them all with a paper fan and they run off. Her Kero-chan like cat gives her a blue rose saying that she has to give it to the person she loves. 
This week’s “1 hour special” is another word for “We’re gonna air episodes 20 and 21 back to back for no apparent reason.” I personally liked this episode more than the next one but I burst out laughing at least once in both of them so it’s all good. This doesn’t look like any story related material but was still a fun passage of time. At the beginning is just Ichijou and Imadori playing power rangers with Ichijou’s younger brother. She also has a dream at the beginning that he kisses her and stuff.
