This week’s
episode is actually where I sorta “stopped” reading in the manga. I guess I should really continue. I think I stopped at the point where Tsuyuki died so I didn’t get to see dicknose gaijin David Rice yet until I watched this week. Lol it was actually pretty hillarious seeing this guy’s nose grow to ridiculous proportions while yelling “I fucking hate Japanese food!!!”
I’ve been picking up too many mangas while simultaneously trying to catch up on the Haruhi novels so hopefully I can get some reading done this week so I’m further ahead for the next episode. It’s strange how all of this played out in 1 episode, but I felt like it really took a while in the manga. My favorite scene was when Neuro’s drool was falling on Yako’s pillow burning it - although in the manga she never really noticed it and coincidentally dodged it.

It started
out as the usual “you are the culprit” crap but things got interesting when Sai appeared out of a Doberman and then had an exciting fight with Neuro up on top of a construction pole thing. I’m up to chapter 22 of the manga so I’m not sure how much of this is actually happening and how much is just anime originality. Neuro also mentioned that by hanging around humans, he becomes more human. Wait wut? IS this really true? Hasn’t been mentioned in the manga as far as I read. Also Sasazuka gets injured and gives Yako his notes saying “Sai may have killed your father.” I can acclaim for that as probably an anime original plot since they shuffled around the chapters in a really weird order. O well if you put the manga/anime/actual storyline comparisons aside, it was a pretty cool action packed episode.
Upcoming Attractions: Why is it that only the Sai related episodes are interesting? We’re back to criminal of the week it seems.

Ok so a
kind reader of my blog has uploaded volumes 1-10 for me and I’m currently reading Volume 3 of the manga. I can’t say anything “wowey” just yet but I guess the anime focuses on more silly stuff than the manga did. Actually this week was probably closer to the “atmosphere” of the manga because it was more serious than humorous. (There was only a small amount of Yako abuse and Godai didn’t even show up.) So my big question is (and feel free to spoil me in the comments) is Sasazuka = Sai?? He said he “took on a form of a cop” and I always thought he kinda LOOKED like Sasazuka…and since his aim is to catch Neuro while he “eats” is this all true??? I think the Sai thing is what has probably intrigued me the most about this show thus far. Otherwise the “bad guy of the week” was getting kinda stale. Hope the show continues with this trend.
Upcoming Attractions: Continuation of this week’s story.

Ok I take
back what I said about this being 12 episodes. Actually at this point I’m really not sure. Maybe it’ll go up to 26? Next week definitely doesn’t look like a finale so it’s probably not gonna end. I don’t even know if this is a filler as I haven’t gotten my hands on the manga beyond chapter 11. It was another monster of the week so it was pretty boring (and it made JP fall asleep.) Also she didn’t make a funny face (she just dressed in a stupid outfit) so it wasn’t the typical hillarious Neuro humor. At the end it was interesting though how Neuro said Yako will fall into the “hell of fame” and he will follow her there. Hmm intoresting.
Upcoming Attractions: Looks like another monster of the week. I really hope they plan to move somewhere with the story.

Believe it
or not this series is only going to run 12 episodes.
So it’s like 12 episodes of nothing, I wonder how they’re even gonna end it. Next week doesn’t even look like the episode regarding Yako’s father, but at the setup that they’re at I can’t imagine how they’re going to even show that scenario - if they show it at all. This week was kinda anti-climatic. It was all serious and crap about how the singer killed her managers because she “sings better when she’s lonely” O_o; And Neuro ended up not eating anybody with his big birdbrain so yea that was kinda disappointing. I’m guessing next week is monster of the week again or it might be a 2 episode plot to conclude the series.

Another demon of the week except this time they decided to poke fun of the singer who sings the ending theme to this show lol. I bet she’s the bad guy
Also, I really wanna make a Neuro Loituma video, but starting tomorrow I gotta continue my packing wah XD
Edit: I made that video. If you have a NicoNico account you can view it here.

Before
watching this episode I watched like 6 series of “I want to see that anime again! 1990s anime ops” videos on NicoNico (which btw is like my new Youtube.) It made me all nostalgic and KITAAA! during stuff like the Mahou Shoujo Pretty Sammy, Kare Kano and Kodocha ops 8D. Also I am amused by that roitsuma tag and all the stupid videos associated with it
Anyway this week’s Neuro was another anime original apparently and it seems like the whole show is slated to be this way for a while (and possibly until the end.) I haven’t read further in the manga but I might do so because we’re now back to “monster of the week”. I really liked last week’s episode and I was hoping we’d see more of that in the future.
