So a couple weeks ago I wrote a post in an LJ community on why people ship Neuro and Yako when all Neuro does is smash her head against walls and ceilings, down her in gas and make her balance a candle on her head and use her as his chair/mop. After reading more of the manga (I’m on volume 12 now) something occured to me: Neuro and Yako are almost like Hamel and Flute from the Violinist of Hameln. You got the hero, who’s a monster (or half monster) who finds a plain old girl and forces her somehow to follow along with what he’s doing. In the meantime he abuses her in a gag kind of manner (Flute Missile anyone?) but near the end it’s because of the girl is the hero able to conquer his final foes.

Needless to say I feel Yako will play an important part to Neuro near the end, similarly to like she did in the HAL arc. But even if NeuYako is my fannon, I’m down with it. The other fanarts I’ve seen are so freaking adorable that it’s enough to convince me to support this pairing.

P.S. The Hameln I’m referring to is the manga, the anime sucks terribly. Good luck trying to find copies of it though - it’s forever out of print.

Wow that was absolutely Amazing! I can’t believe how awesome of a story Neuro is turning out to be! I know it started out as ridiculous fodder, but that fodder is totally justified by this entire arc. I’m actually catching up in the manga, I’m on this arc in the manga as well and now I’m really looking forward to reading more chapters. Wow Neuro is suddenly becoming incredibly awesome. I must continue reading the manga! So this week we saw the past of Higuchi and how his parents were MMORPG addicts who made the game their life and ignored their son who had to work park time to support their habits lol. And they only spoke through video game chat…so he learned how to hack and then hacked into the game and crashed and deleted everyone’s data, including his parents’. Hoping this would make them come back to reality, instead they went and hung themselves. Yako realized after he told her this, that he wasn’t being controlled by HAL all the way and she managed to snap him to reality and stop the brain waves on all the people attacking Neuro. (Not that it mattered cause he blew them all to smitherines anyway.) Neuro also asked Yako to help her solve the password to break HAL’s sphinx thing because it’s something only humans can understand. By the end of the episode, Yako figures it out…but we have till next week to find out what it is!

Upcoming Attractions: Perhaps some info on Harukawa’s past?

NOOO WHY HIGUCHI WHY!! Oh god I didn’t know Higuchi joined the dark side I’m a little behind on the manga but I plan to catch up on that this weekend (while sewing my cosplay!) I really like the episode in general. All the action was pretty cool and seeing Yako all sad about being a useless “marionette” and Neuro is like “don’t worry I can kill you anytime!” XD I guess that’s his way of being nice lmao 8D;;; I dunno how good they adapted the manga, I’m not there yet - but withotu seeing the manga first I really liked the episode. Perhaps me being behind is a blessing in disguise?

Upcoming Attractions: Yako and Neuro look like they survived the crash. Looks like more action stuff!

Holy crap that was an awesome episode? You know how you can tell an episode will be awesome? When they do their hannin wa omae da routine before halftime! Also who is that hawt undercover cop in the green sweater?? He’s like the best looking guy in the entire Neuro cast. *ships him with Yako for no apparent reason other than he looks good.* Kinda feel bad for Neuro at the end - also feel bad for HAL’s uh…real body. He seemed like a nice dude, but then his computer persona took over. WHEN MACHINES TAKE OVER MAN! Damn I gotta read the manga now!!

Episode posted a bit late so I couldn’t get it until today. Sources say it’s a filler but despite that, I found it to be really funny The first part that loled me was when Jun did the “The Criminal is….SOMEWHERE IN THIS ROOM!” XDDDD And then when near the end Yako was like “Kyaa I just saw something long and snakey!” and then Neuro’s like “Slave #2 *points to Godai* shame on you!” And the camera shows his open fly LOL. Then if that wasn’t enough they bring it up later on comparing it to a worm. XDDDDDDD The lochness monster guy was a complete idiot, I mean it was obvious he did it from the start, so no suspense there. No idea what next week is supposed to be about. I haven’t had a change to read more Neuro manga, busy with doujin and reading the Haruhi novels (hey at least I’ve finally read the Conspiracy of Suzumiya Haruhi all the way through.)
