Lovely Complex - 08
So although I skipped next 
week basically Atasushi figured out that Risa likes him. After this the air gets heavy around them and he’s ripping his hair out of his head while Risa is a nervous wreck. They typically try avoiding each other but eventually Atsushi tells her privately that he will think about it before giving her an answer. At this point the class field trip is coming up. week there was going to be tears you are correct! Although I expect there to be more tears next week. So the gang goes to the beach and Nobu promptly tells Risa that she has to get her act together and confess to Atsushi. She tells that to Chiharu and Suzuki as well so now everyone is “watching out” for her to create a “perfect confession moment”. I coulda sworn our lovely trap attended this event too but maybe my mind is foggy. So anyway eventually Risa cuts her foot and has to sit on the beach on her own but even after she tsunderely yells at Atsushi, he comes back to sit with her. 
of raws for this show. I’ve been watching Chinese subbed episodes for the last 3 weeks (not that I understand Chinese but you get my drift.) I really love the OP/ED the pace in general and overall it’s one of my favorites this season and it’s rather sad that crap show raws get posted immediately while I have to scramble to get this. I almost thought of dropping this show bloggage because of that but I decided if Chinese subs is what I gotta watch then so be it I guess. Anyway continuing from last week, Atsushi is now feeling all high and mighty because he was kissed by a “cute girl”. 
headache and I couldn’t even get the raw for this episode…so I ended up watching a Chinese sub. How sad that Chinese subs come out before the raw does e.e Anyway this week is basically a focus episode on Haruka and how Risa is his “hero” because she saved him from bullies when he was a kid. This of course makes Atsushi jealous and with the impending doom of Valentine’s Day misunderstandings are all over the place. By the end, Risa ends up giving her chocolate to Haruka because Atsushi chose his pride & jealousy - over his and Risa’s friendship. With that, Haruka then tells Risa he realizes she likes Atsushi, but he won’t give up trying to make her fall in love with him and be his girlfriend.
is rushing through the manga like sonic the hedgehog. The entire Atsushi’s ex/Christmas live arc was squashed in a short 24 minutes. I mean I know the manga is over 14 volumes but how long is this show supposed to be? I don’t mind the fast pace as long as they don’t then try to waste time on extra episodes with random fillers because they rushed through the actual story too quickly. All this is doing is making the series hard to keep up with because they’re so busy rushing through plot details that there isn’t enough time for character development, other than Atsushi and Risa. 
with this anime adaptation as well and it really brings life to all the kansai-ben/tsukkomi that went on in the manga. Koizumi Risa and Ootani Atsushi both have a height complex….because they are the “opposite” of what their sex expects their heights to be. Risa is too tall while Atsuhi is too short, which has everyone calling them them the Kyoujin Kyoudai (I might need a spellcheck on that one because I don’t have the manga handy.) The two of them are sick of everyone labeling them as the freak twins so they are on a mission to get a boyfriend/girlfriend.
