So after Risa is shocked, she goes into “stupid doll mode” and tells Ootani she’ll see him tomorrow. Unfortunately hear tears break the facade and she runs off screaming “goodbye”. Maity runs after her and gives her a comforting hug. In the meantime, Nobu & the rest are busy scowling at Ootani for saying such things. He just retorts that the annoying old man teacher pissed him off which is why he said those things. Risa tells herself she knows that he doesn’t like her, but hearing it again only hurts more. In case you missed last week, Risa was so pissed that Ootani stole her first kiss that she grabbed him by the collar and smacked one on him back. He kept thinking that she stole his but she (and later Nobu) bitched at him to apologize to Risa for forgetting. Nobu urged him to appologize but when he did, Risa asked “IS this an apology for forgetting, or an apology for not thinking of me as a love interest?” Ootani hesitated to answer and Risa, crying, yelled that she will give up liking him. This week started out a bit disappointing when the first 5-6 minutes were spent on flashbacks of last week’s stuff where Risa threw her chocolates at Ootani. She found out this week that he has a huge bump on his head from it too. He felt bad I guess because he gave her a ticket to the UmiBouzu concert that weekend as an early White Day gift. Risa is super happy that she totally forgets how he broke her heart on Valentine’s Day. Nobu points out that while Risa & Ootani aren’t lovelove like she and her bf, they share their love through things LIKE UmiBouzu. Continue Reading »

So last week Ootani ditched his ex for Risa and said that Risa may be better “fit” for him. Risa is insanely happy and despite the two of them having their usual bickering she’s in love with him anyway. Valentine’s Day is coming up and Risa is wondering what to do and if Ootani will accept her chocolates. She starts to remember how the year before he told her he didn’t want any but Nobu convinces her that the atmosphere between the 2 of them is getting better and Risa should go for it anyway. So I guess as far as Risa & Atsushi go, we’re pretty much in limbo until he realizes that he wants to have her babies. Nobu suggests that Risa “stick her boobs out” but not literally. She basically says in order for Atsushi to like her, she has to act more feminine instead of constantly arguing with him. This is the reason he sees her more as a comedy partner rather than a girlfriend. Also Christmas is coming up and Risa remembers how in the previous year Atsushi ditched his ex to go hang out with her instead. Continue Reading »

So this was a pretty enjoyable episode and I’m glad to see that all the “time wasting” stuff regarding Atsushi trying to figure out Risa’s feelings is out of the way. The beginning of the episode features a dream sequence where Risa thinks that had their heights been switched, nobody woulda thought of them as a comedic duo and they could have been a normal couple who fell in love and dated. She’s really down and Nobu in the meantime is beating up on Atsushi for breaking Risa’s heart. Continue Reading »

SO I finally got a chance to watch the Rabucon movie except my file had these annoying Italian subtitles OH well I wasn’t paying attention to them anyway (although JP kept pointing out words like “grandiossa” or whatever the equivalent of dekaonna was.) Despite what some of you guys said in earlier Rabucon posts I made…I actually really enjoyed the movie. It actually made me like the show even more. Both the anime and the movie have its charms and I personally think that the casting for everyone was great especially Risa & Atsushi. Actually I think the only casting I didn’t REALLY like was for Nobu-chan. Suzuki and Chiharu were great! Continue Reading »
