Ok now I’m gonna shut up about the cardboard knife. There it is, I’m happy. There really isn’t much to compare to the TOEI one because 90% of this episode wasn’t even IN the TOEI episode. (the 10% would be that cardboard knife scene along with her telling Yuuichi about doing so.) The rest of the episode, including ther school lunches and the birthday party wasn’t there. Actually Jun freaking cracks me up. Him and that white Elvis suit. Jun > Yuuichi. Hands down. On another note:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Upcoming Attractions: And so begins the Ayu/Nayuki arc!

Umm wow. I had no idea Shiori came to school for a few days. That was soooo not in the TOEI version. In that one she just wore the uniform for a bit to “pretend” during her date with Yuuichi. Oh yea the image on the left above is what woulda happened had you chosen the Shiori route. I guess the closest KyoAni gives us is “please be my oniichan”. LOL that made me laugh out loud :lol:.

Lol the first few seconds of the episode… “I hate hospitals” and *nurse stares at Ayu with a “where have I seen you before look”*. Oh and I love the “Ayu doesn’t have a mom…so when she said parents maybe she meant her dad?” Anyway I like Ayu’s cute little red skirt. Oh well I guess changing clothes is okay…except it looks funny when I post CG comparisons :P.

Everytime I watch Kanon I have the urge to run into my freezer and throw a taiyaki into the oven. This time I managed to hold myself back (mainly because I was full of grapes I had eaten earlier.) Anyway this “kinda” concludes the Mai arc. The actual conclusion is with her and Sayuri graduating but I guess they are saving that for a little later and probably after Shiori’s arc. In the TOEI version of the concluding episode for some reason they used really THICK lines around everyone so it looked really weird.

So wow they totally went into detail about Sayuri. When I saw her brother I went “OOOOH NARUHODO!” regardin the scene of her and the little kid walking. I kept thinking the little kid was Yuuichi since it appears every girl knows him from “way back when” (except for Shiori because she sucks.) Also the scene where Sayuri was bloody and the facial expressions and stuff was like 247928347892 times better because of the huge chin-o-rama in the TOEI version.

And by that I mean, due to all the Japanese people getting drunk and going to the temple, many shows have been postponed until next week or the following week. So to clear up the confusion here’s the dilly-o with the shows I’m blogging.

Tokimeki Memorial: Episode 14 will air on next Monday, January 8.
Busou Renkin: Because we had double episodes last week, episode 15 will air next Wednesday January 10
Naruto: That’s still on [my blogging] hiatus until February 15
Kanon: Episode 14 will air this Thursday, January 4, as usual.
Sumomomomomomo: Episode 13 will skip another week and air on January 11.
I’m not including any new series because as usual I will check out episode 1 and if I like it, blogging will commence with episode 2. In any case this will be a break week…and I’ll be rabidly looking for a new job. ;_;

Just for the record, there will be no Sumomomomomomo this week and apparently next week which crushes my dreams oh so very hard…so instead I’ll have to just read the manga. (Currently on volume 3!) Hmm Kanon. So what’s the deal with the everchanging outfits? Frankly it’s really taking the Kanon-ish feeling away. The only thing signifying Shiori anymore is that plaid blanked she has wrapped around herself. I mean if she’s so sick, when does she have time to go around shopping for new clothes? Also since Ayu is now living with Yuuichi it’s making everything REALLY WEIRD. Him bringing her to school and going “Hey Mai can you tell me the ending of this show thing Ayu is
looking for?” If you listen to the dialogue in that scene really closely, it basically gives away the ending to Mai’s and Ayu’s stories. I guess in a sense this show is more fun to watch when you know what happens and when they drop these hints you sit there going “Ooooh!”
Oh and Yuuichi’s harem juggling skills are amazing. This is probably the best kept harem I’ve ever seen. I mean in other harems, there’s always cat fights but this one is like in perfect balance. All the girls get along if they run into each other and no one is ever jealous of anyone else. Then again, I have yet to see the male protagonist actually “blush and get embarrassed” or have one of the girls accidentally trip and land boob-first into his face.
