Since my Naruto post was pretty half assed I figured I’d make up for it by doing one on this week’s Inukami. This week Keita is missing in action, along with Youko. Kaoru asks Tomohane to go find him, and the other Inukami girls are wondering about Kaoru’s mysterious ice block in the basement of that “lone hut in the woods.” Kaoru sends them all off to help Keita’s grandma fight the evil spirits that are starting to leak out of the seal from the Great Demon Fox. Tomohane while looking for Keita, runs into ye’olde otaku who can’t find a girl to MOEE over, until he sees Tomohane use magical powers on one of the escaped demonic spirits. Continue Reading »

There wasn’t really anything to this episode except a bunch of doggies get in a fight, create an evil spirit that takes the body of a manequin (another Trouble Chocolate ripoff). The only thing worth mentioning, is the random block of ice/crystal they found at the bottom of an abandoned shack that had a guy in it who looked like Kaoru. Next episode seems to be an interesting one delving deeper into the mysteries between Kaoru and Nadeshiko. Oh, and my fanart done 15 episodes ago seems to have come true.

For those folks who ever wondered where my nickname Hinano came from…its from the girl with the green hair and the red school uniform ;). Anyway as this episode felt like a direct ripoff from Trouble Chocolate episode 11 (aired sometime in the year 2000) I felt the need to do (yet another) comparison post. The basic plot of the episode is a Racoon comes to thank Keita for saving his life 3 years ago, and gives him “love medicine” which after taken, the first person who sees him, will fall in love with him. Wow I’m gettin all hyped up for the Keita x Yoko thing now. It looks like he finally gets some next episode! In this one, Yoko turns out to not be an inukami but to be a fox demon (I’m gettin Naruto vibes :lol:) and the daughter of the “great” fox demon that’s sealed by the Kawahiras. The seal is breaking so Yoko has to once again seal him. He gets really angry when he finds out that she’s in love with Keita :lol:. In the meantime Keita, Yoko and a Kappa (wtf is that anyway? has anyone ever seen a live kappa??) are living in some kind of a tent under a bridge since their house got crushed to bits in the last episode. Yoko tried to get part time jobs to help but has no luck. The detective guy randomly got mollested in a dark alley so Keita’s got no work either. Youko told Hake that they should at least let Keita live with them (with the other inukamis) but Hake said that they can’t do that. (I think because either of bad luck or because he’s just a big perv :lol:). It also appears that since Youko is not an inukami, she can’t live at that house?

This makes me think though, why call the anime INUkami if the lead character isnt even an inukami? The other thing is, why did she act like a dog? Was it because she wanted to pretend to be one so that Keita wouldn’t know her true identity? Well he didn’t seem that surprised when he found out either but….wow I’m excited to see what happens next :D!
