SO because this weekend JRO2 is having a double exp event I am abandoning you all and picking game over blogging. (Well not completely but here’s a super short summary post of 3 shows in 1! JP Is also eagerly awating for OB to end so I can pay attention to him.) Anyway no blogging of Naruto this week because it was draggy and stupid (but at least the stupid Gai team arc finally progressed), but there won’t be any Naruto next week and the following week will be a 1 hour special. Moving on:
Mushiuta 09 - Shiika goes on another date with Daisuke where they blush profusely at a planetarium (where have I seen this before?) and then outside start a discussion of their dreams. By this point both Shiika & Daisuke start to wonder “hay I wonder if she/he is the person from the past that shot me/got shot and now is alive!” Unfortunately for Rina, she runs on the two of them about to have a makeout session and runs off crying Continue Reading »

It’s becoming sorta
hard for me to digest this show because the pace is SO slow compared to season 1. Season 1 left me on the edge every week going “I wonder why ____” or trying to figure out a mystery. Now I’m sitting here going, I wonder why they won’t take the whole mob and the president guy and arrest the bastard. Like calling his phone is gonna help. By the time they reach him he’ll beat up Satoko another 20 times. And Satoko…and her brother complex. This is what you get for having a burazakon little girl. If you just stayed with Rika like a good little loli, you wouldn’t be getting abused by a drunken old sex offender. Knowing the fact that everyone’s gonna die again isn’t making this arc go by any faster.

So looks like Satoko fell into the circle
of abuse this time around before Rika could get to her. She asked Takano to “move” the yamainu, but Takano said she couldn’t because Satoko’s uncle was being watched by the police already because Rina got murdered for being a bad whore :P. Satoko then gave up and went back to getting drunk on her wine or whatever that thing she always drinks is. Also Shion went batshit and almost killed Satoko’s uncle but Keiichi the superman stopped her…although I’m surprised he didn’t get a concussion after being slammed on the head with a chair @_@;; Maybe this time around he has a metal plate in his head or something. It was cool to see Rika crying near the end begging Keiichi to save Satoko, and that she didn’t wanna give up after all. Keiichi gaves her 2 big thumbs up and said he has a plan…well whatever your plan is, I still want Satoko’s uncle to die. XD

So thanks to everyone
who commented on the previous post. I’ll do an experimental approach starting this evening and see how it works out. So anyway, lots of great changes this week. It seems that Keiichi’s move of giving Mion the doll set a whole domino effect of changes. First of all Keiichi remembers the hagi scene with the needles, but Mion appologizes thinking she made bad ones but he says “nahh” and eats it fine. Next Rena tells them how her dad finally got his act together and got a job…and then goes on to tell how she had dreams of killing the woman who was taking her dad’s money. She consulted with Mion, who because of her personality change, helped Rena get through it. Continue Reading »

An excellent episode
which brought out some great changes based on last season. So here’s what we resolved this week: Hanyuu basically shares a soul with Rika so when Rika ate crap that Hanyuu didn’t like - well she felt that one. Also why is Takano the assistant nurse to Irie ?_? She wasn’t always one was she….? I thought she was just a random scientist/researcher person o.o; Satoko is apparently in some sort of health state that cannot be cured. (I didn’t get what though.) Also it appears everytime the Hinamizawa reset happens, the time between it and the next reset gets shortened. This time around, Rika decides to spill the beans to Keiichi about what the “destiny” will be and for some reason he is willing to change it. With this he ends up NOT playing the card game and giving the doll to Mion instead of Rena - which Rika says might “soothe” her “broken heart”. (aka not cause her to go on a mad rampage.) Rika said she will try her best this time to change her fate.
By the way, I still hate Hanyuu’s voice. Someone should just give her a winged backpack and a bag of taiyaki.

So in case you forgot what Higurashi is REALLY like, this episode was here to remind you. So the difference here was that at this point, Satoko was aware that someone was after Rika but Rika chose to die anyway. Satoko then found Rika’s body herself without Keiichi present. She screamed and realized the guys who killed Rika were now after her because she was a witness. She ran away from them towards the bridge and while in the original she pushed Keiichi off it, this time she ended up falling off it herself. She then managed to survive but when she walked towards her school she found that everyone died from the gas poisoning. At this point she’s the “sole” survivor and goes into an “awake” coma. Oiishi tries to get info out of her about the gas leak, but later realizes that she knows about Rika not the gas leak. By the time he comes back to the hospital, she’s been killed by ignorant nurses..who are prolly in cahoots with those guys that killed Rika. (Whether because they’re in cahoots or because they hate Satoko’s family I don’t know.)

So this episode focuses mostly on the Watanagashi festival that we’ve seen a billion times already. I just want to point out how I thought Keiichi was pretty cool in Season 1 but for some reason in this series they’ve turned him into a blundering idiot. I’ve lost all if any likeness I had for him as a character. But anyway the episode pretty much kept me on the edge of my seat with the killer after Rika and Satoko being helpless and the only one doing anything about it. Rika of course knew but acted like she didn’t because she knew that she can’t stop fate so why bother. The episode really brought out Satoko to me as someone other than a useless crying little brat. Go Satoko! Although unfortunately nothing good’s gonna come of your efforts.
