Wow so it’s finally over. The day of redemption is finally here, the festival without murders and the not so cute grown up Rika (wtf?) I remember reading on wikipedia that at the end when Takano was gonna shoot (whoever she was gonna shoot), Hanyuu got in the way and froze time. Erm I was confused when in the anime she just…missed. I thought Hanyuu was supposed to like take the hit, say her goodbyes to Rika and then everyone lived happily ever after? O.o; But actually she wakes up the next day in the same futon as Rika.. weird.

I was sorta confused by the blurb at the end. I get it that it was adult Rika but…why was Takano’s lifespan reset ?_? At first I thought “oh maybe Takano and Tomitake get a happy ending and it’s their daughter” but then I saw the “parents” and I’m like “wait what? ” In addition to add to the confusion, various blogs have reported that Higurashi will get a 3rd season. Pardon me but for what? Are they planning to animate all those completely random arcs that came after the game ended? Sorry not interested. For me, Higurashi ends today. It was a nice ride everyone, thanks for joining me!

I spent most of yesterday formatting my computer so while I did watch Shugo Chara and Kimi Faku I couldn’t get to blogging them. Shugo Chara - it was like half filler but half not, Kimi Faku pure spooge - NOO MAO BAD MAO NOOOO. The series is headed in the “NOOOO” direction so expect more of that when I resume blogging it next weekend. So anyway Higurashi what can I say besides YEAHH! The only “boo” was the fact that basically Satoshi has rabies and he’s chained to the bed till god knows when. That’s kinda anti-climatic, I thought he was gonna magically wake up for some tearful reunion scene with Shion. Although Shion’s “Who’s gonna rub my head!” reaction was a bid…unexpected lol. Seeing Rena, Keiichi and the gang totally beat on the Yamainu was lotsa fun though. Also seeing Shion’s manservant beat everyone and shoot everything like rambo was kicks & giggles. Overall a good episode, is next week the grand finale?

LOL the last part was so freaking awesome! I mean I heard he was gonna come save Rika, but he was like freaking Bruce Lee! Even if you don’t watch Higurashi you should just watch this episode for the lols. “Let me show you what a REAL FIST IS” Also Shion twiddling her toes about Satoshi was cute XD. Yay Shion x Satoshi crap next week I hope!

Serious ass kicking from the gar mans of Higurashi this week. At this point the series is kinda coming to our “expected” closing. I sorta know what’s gonna happen, and basically at this point I’m just watching the events unfold - which is why my posts for this show have been sorta blah lately (as well as the response from you guys because you’re probably feeling the same way.) I wish they would have shown more of Tomitake beating all those Yamainu up, but the manly gar image at the end was good enough for now I guess. Can’t wait till they bring out the Rena and Keiichi cavalry.

Rika finally goes to the big boys for help. She talks to Irie, Akasaka, Oishi and Tomitake. Now more than 1 person is suspecting Takano, and especially Irie who this time around isn’t thinking “There’s no way she would do such things!” Also I like the whole Keiichi x Satoko teamup where they both say “let’s pretend Rika’s dead, that’ll get em!” I kept thinking they’d like figure out some crazy way to put a fake corpse of her - but that’s mostly my Narutard self thinking of Kabuto and his ability to create fake corpses ^^;. Anyway good to see the plot finally rolling down the hill.

This episode was really funny! Rena’s “omochikaeri!” fits were hillarious! In the beginning while Rika was talking you could hear her like frothing at the mouth lmao. In general all the “school” parts were really great. The end was awesome too when Rika pretended she needed “manga story advice” and all her friends were basically giving her good ideas on how to beat Takano. I also found it interesting how Hanyuu had to remind Rika that Takano was the one behind it all…or rather we find out at the end that Takano’s strings are being pulled without her knowing as well. Hmm….now it’s getting interesting.

Excellent episode this week which finally will tie the last ends to bring us back to the day where fate rests in the hands of our gang vs. the evil Takano. The beginning part had shown that Rena was “left” by her mom. Well technically her mom did ask if Rena wanted to come along but Rena, who at the time appears to have the Hinamizawa syndrome, choose to stay. She also was shown changing her name from Reina to Rena, which I guess explains why people had called her “Reina” in the previous season. It showed her as having the scratching thing way earlier telling me that pretty much throughout season 1, she was just mentally trying to hold it back - except during the USO DA! outbursts.
