Man what a great episode. Nothing like seeing the artists point of view of Comiket. My favorite quote has gotta be Sasahara’s “When they flip through and don’t buy it, it’s kinda irritating.” DAMN STRAIGHT SASAHARA. WELCOME TO MY MANGA NEXT! Sometimes I say to myself that I kinda wanna go to Comiket but then seeing all those people stand in the stinky heat I’d probably lose my mind. I also read on the comiket cosplay page and it’s all organized and shit. You can’t just stroll in looking like a crossdressing Rock Lee. You gotta reserve a spot, pay money for a changing room and walk in and walk out of the place in regular clothes. Pretty different from US cons. JP also informed me that they have man and woman circle days. So I guess on day 1 you can buy lesbian porn but on day 2 you can buy gay porn! Do they have non-porn het day? I’d sign up for that! Oh well the chances of me going to Comiket, let alone selling there are slim to none so I just have to enjoy what I can from this anime.

Wow well that was certainly interesting! I especially loved the part where the “mature woman” seito kaichou totally mollested a shota-like Chihiro LOL. I was sorta on Sasahara’s side during the doujinshi making thing….I mean I know what it’s like when you get a group of people and they slack off until the end they give up and dump it all on you. It was great to see Saki finally get these buffoons together and get some freaking work done….although I did feel sorry for her when she said to Kousaka “LET’S GO TO THE BEACH” only to get a “but everyone is busy now” (No she meant the two of you, fag.) Saki go ask Madarame to the beach, I’m sure he’d more than comply and he’d probably buy you lunch while he’s at it. Also lol @ Ohno’s “how dare you make cosplay for people besides me” attitude. I was also kinda surprised at how much more obvious they are making the “hints” between Sasahara and Ogiue. I had trouble realizing they had a thing for each other until the end O_o;.

P.S. JP also told me the op parodies Gundam Seed Destiny ops but since I’m anti-all gundam I didn’t recognize it other than “What is this some robot show parody”?

Man I love Genshiken. I read the manga a year ago but I haven’t revisited it so this doesn’t seem TOO stale to me. Then again I only remember the stuff that involved Ogiue and Sasahara or Madarame and Saki (such a sad shipper I am.) I gotta admit though I think Genshiken portrays the whole Otaku making doujinshi aspect 21827209874982 times better than Doujin Work ever did. Doujin work was just…retarded. So I randomly went to the Genshiken site today thinking “wasn’t the 2nd OVA supposed to come out this month?” and lo and be hold there it was. This is definitely a favorite episode because it includes my favorite chapters that had some Madarame x Saki content. God why did she have to pick the “blonde bishounen” when she can have the nice guy who means well! (I guess not everyone can be like me.) So the focus of this episode is on Otaku fashion. I just watched the 1st OVA episode. This manga holds a special place in my heart because I was reading it during Manganext while JPmeyer stared at my legs thinking that I didn’t notice because I was so engrossed in it. [bitchfest] Oh and I read all the way to the end of the manga and I’m freaking pissed that Madarame doesn’t get with Saki.
