So episode 47 concluded Nana, which although I stopped blogging months ago, I have actually been keeping up with. Since this is the final episode I figured I’d just add some final thoughts. Obviously the ending is incomplete and it left me rather confused. Last week we left off where Jrock-Nana was telling Nobu once again that he can make Hachi-Nana happier than fagass Takumi. So in the end Nobu chickens out and Nana goes to see fireworks with a disguised Shin, Nana and Yasu. What confused me was how they showed Nana and her daughter Satsuki with no explanation of what happened in between. I haven’t read the manga so….

a) Did she NOT marry Takumi?
b) When Nobu grabs her hand and they show her kimono on the floor…are they getting together now? Is this what she meant by making “that summer” dream come true now?
c) Shin looks hot when he’s grown up and his hair isn’t blue. (don’t mind me)

So in general it was an okay anime. Often times I felt myself going in circle as far as relationships. It seems like the only “change of pace” was when Nana went from Shouji to Takumi/Yasu/Nobu/whoever but in the end she still cried for Shouji. How much more abuse can she take from the mangaka? Sheesh!

In somewhat related news, Stage6 died….so with previous suggestions I moved myself (once again) to Daily Motion…where you can find my Nana/Bokura ga Ita amv.

Well for those who have been waiting my Bokura ga Ita/Nana AMV is finally completed..and I haven’t even added it to AMVs.org yet. (Plan to do that sometime tomorrow or Friday.) Negima will probably be posted Friday because I have a massive headache (and I spent time finishing up the AMV oh well ^_^) Enjoy!!

I was looking at my Nana posts and realized it’s brobably the most half assed written show on this blog. With that in mind I’m going to drop it from my blogging list. The main reason is pretty soon I might drop the show (soon being when the new anime kicks in.) Until then I’m also gonna make a Nana AMV (cause I finally found a show that goes with my favorite Ace of Base song!) That and I’m sick of Nana being a little slut and screwing every guy she meets. CONTROL YOURSELF WOMAN!

In light of Naruto…I decided I won’t blog it every week anymore (even if its just one screenshot). I’m only going to blog episodes that are funny or if the show ever gets back on track with part 2. There’s one good thing to hope for. According to this site, they are beginning a season of re-runs starting with episode 1 on October 3rd. What this tells me is perhaps a hope that maybe they will start airing part 2 soon and show part 1 again for those folks who missed it the last…3 years.

And once again as a friendly reminder next week will be a mini hiatus for this blog. I will probably work on clearing my hard drive for the snowball that is the fall season as well as gathering clips for the Nana and this other AMV I am in the progress of making (which will include the fall shows as well :D). お楽しみに！

Would anyone fall into a pit of dispair if I stopped blogging Nana? I mean I’m still watching the show but I don’t really know what to say about it. I don’t know if I watch it because out of morbid curiosity or because I’m waiting to gather footage for an amv I want to make. I thought the whole relationship thing was cool but now that Nana is getting jealous of anyone that gets close to the other nana, I’m like “blah…psychological problems of a sexually active teenager”.

My favorite quote in the episode was “Don’t appologize to Nana just to make yourself feel better.”

This episode sorta flew by me. When the credits rolled I sat there going that’s it? Mainly because I suppose there was only about 4 actual “scenes” and the breakup scene probably took up half the episode. The direction was amazing. Nana’s “I don’t wanna see your face” was rocking my socks. I also liked Jun-chan’s maturity saying that both Shouji and Nana are her friends and she can’t keep siding with one or the other.

I dunno what happens in the manga but Hachikonana better not suddenly start having a mad crush on JrockNana’s ex or I’m seriously dropping this series. XD

Oh and by the way, Mr. Manwhore is 15. Wow, do Japanese women have a shota complex?

Manwhoring continues! It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt you uwakimono! ugh I really REALLY want to stop watching this anime, but it’s like addictive crack and I can’t stop. It’s like those annoying Pringles commercials in the 90s where everyone dances around like an idiot going “once you pop, you can’t stop“. So yea speaking of manwhores, it turns out the bassist for Nana’s band has turned into a manwhore too. And the best part is, he actually thinks that “its a great and inexpensive way to live”. What a shame, he was so adorable too, until he dyed his hair blue and spiked it to look like someone from Dragonball Z.

And finally in the end Shouji can’t take it anymore (because he’s obviously in love with Sachiko and Nana is just a leftover turkey) he asks Nana to see him after work because he has something important to tell her. (Aka “I think it’s time we started seeing other people..ooh wait I’m already seeing other people, sucks for you!”)

I don’t know if I can handle another 36 episodes of this

Shouji you manslut!

I really feel sorry for Hachi-Nana. (Am I the only one who calls her Nana and not Hachi?) I also feel sorry for this anime. Due to it being 50 episodes, with 2 recaps already within 12 eps, many bloggers are dropping it, fansubbers are dropping it, hell even my boyfriend stopped reading the manga :lol:. I haven’t read the manga because apparently if I do, I will hate the anime. I really do feel sorry for this series and I want to continue to watch it despite the majority tossing it into their recycle bins. (Then again I seem to watch animes a lot of people dislike so maybe this is just another one for the pile.)

I think the only other thing keeping me from dropping this series is the strong desire to make an anime music video to an Ace of Base song with this show.

P.S. Thanks to all you guys who commented on the MKV post. I ended up using Virtual Dub Mod since I’ll eventually need to convert the files to avi anyway if I want to make that amv ^.
