Just for the record - Saturday is the only day I’ve attended and that’s it for me. My brain, ears and toes can take no more of the insanity. I really wish I could have met a lot more people than I did, but it goes to show you that if you really want to meet someone - get their cell phone number. I’m starting to really wonder what the point of Late Show is now. While technically yes they added extra content a lot of it felt like recycled footage with some “new” dialogue. To be specific, there’s a scene during the eyecatch of Maka & Soul saying “we don’t have much screen time”. At the end after the credits there’s a short segment of Maka’s dad and Blair and he talks about how he’s a panty maker. Finally in the preview for next week instead of showing footage of Death the Kid grabbing boobs, they show footage of him getting beaten up (to which he says “Wait why’s there all this footage of me getting beat up?!?”) So really it’s not worth watching. See screenshots below of what you “miss” if you don’t.

I’ll give late show 1 more week and if it’s this crap again I’m calling it quits and just sticking to the Monday broadcast.

Just as a note I will be comparing this episode to Thursdays and note any differences for the next couple of weeks but the main blogging day will remain as Monday. Alright so this week the focus is on the other team of human + weapon and its Tsubaki and Blackstar. It’s like take Naruto, give him blue hair and pair him up with a girl who won’t smack him in the face when he acts like an idiot and you got Blackstar. So according to wikipedia, Soul Eater that airs on Thursdays is supposed to be some late night showing with extra footage. I watched the entire episode again, and if there was any extra footage I didn’t really notice it. I don’t recall the random boobs in the preview at the end or the large amount of CG castle in the beginning (there was some but not as much? I dunno) but the rest seems to be identical to Monday’s episode. I guess the only way to tell the difference would be to watch the episodes simultaneously which I don’t really feel like going through a 3rd time. If anyone caught anything can you let me know? If it’s worth it, I’ll change my Soul Eater blogging from Monday to Thursday - as my Thursdays are currently empty anyway.

Monochrome Factor - I didn’t know anything about this show going in, and coming out all I could think of is “Yaranaika?” LOL is this a BL anime?? I’m googling everywhere and nowhere does it list it as BL, but it’s hard to think of this as anything but gay when some gay grim reaper shows up, makes out with the hero to give him “special powers” to defeat weird looking monsters..and then in the preview the gay grim reaper tells us of his fantasies with the hero. Also the only girl I saw in the show is so tsundere that every line out of her mouth sounds like someome has a knife to her throat. Some parts kinda amused me and I let out a chuckle, but all the BL crap is too much! I can’t take it!! Can someone confirm whether this show is BL or not? If it’s really just a big homo joke then I may check out episode 2. Continue Reading »
