Omg I called it. Let me back up for a second. Someone notified me in my last post that my Shugo Chara posts were a week behind. With that in mind I grabbed episode 26 and just as I had hoped, we get the Amu Ikuto teacup scene!!! XDXD This is so exciting I had to take a buttload of screencaps. A little early but here’s this week’s Shugo Chara! Ok this was a great episode and I’m not just saying it because it followed the manga. The manga scene only took like 4-5 pages while the anime stretched it to 24 minutes. Despite that, I still enjoyed it and I guess the best part is we got to watch some character interaction for once rather than seeing Amu defeating some X-egg of the week. I know you’ve all been impatiently waiting so here it is. But before I go into it I have to first talk trash about Kinokuniya and Japanese racism since it is relevant to me purchasing this book. As you guys know Shugo Chara has Special Edition volumes that come out along with every normal edition when a Shugo Chara volume is released. Kinokuniya only had 2 volume 6’s sitting out period, neither of which was the SE. I asked a lady working there if she could help me find a Special Edition or open up one of the drawers where they keep extra books. She told me “can you please wait” because she seemed in the middle of something. Ok that’s cool I just hung around looked at random How to Draw Manga books while I waited. I then saw her come back but rather than helping me, her attitude went from “Go away white person” to “Hi I’d love to help you find it” when she decide to help a random Japanese family who had come upstairs during the time I waited…and basically ignoring my existence. That’s great Kinokuniya. You market your sorry asses towards weeaboos, but when we come to spend money, you ignore us. Yea well you just lost about $6 extra from one of us, fags. You know what’s worse than a filler episode? The flashback episode of DOOM! So yea basically the episode consisted of Amu deciding what she’ll draw for art class and had a flashback every 5 minutes. Needless to say I skipped through each flashback and it took me about 10 minutes to watch the entire episode. My favorite non-flashback scene was when Nikaido says he wants to keep Su and when Miki was jealous because Yoru was hanging out with Utau’s Shugo Chara (whose name I promptly forgot because she makes Utau look like a street whore when she transforms.) In the end she decides to do an image of her merry friends as pictured here.

Upcoming Attractions: Yay non filler episode! This time it’s the REAL Nadeshiko/Nagehiko episode where Amu finds out that he/she/it is moving away

Haha don’t you love how all my screencaps are always Amu and Ikuto. So this episode basically followed the manga so I’ll put my filler megaphone away for now. I still wish Ikuto was more “playful” in the anime rather than all emo and serious. What was kinda dumb though was how Amu transformed like in all 3 of her chara changes. Like “tag your turn!” I mean they must have wasted at least 5-6 minutes on just transformation sequences throughout the episode. ^^; Continue Reading »

Well since Amu lost her eggs her friends decide to help her get them back. They use the shugo chara’s “nantonaku radar” (which literally means “Somekind of a radar”) to see if they can “find the presense” of any Shugo Charas near by. They tell Amu to stay back while they do all the dirty work since she can’t transform and she’d just be in the way. Continue Reading »

Well now that most of the horrible fillers have passed, it looks like the anime is somewhat back on track. They’re finally up to the arc where Nikaido steals Amu’s eggs. Althogh it was silly because Amu ran out during dinner saying she “had to go to the bathroom” but she never came back. That’s a long crap lol! Then they pan to a scene of her at school the next morning. I mean did her parents just say “oh Amu is so cool taking a 10 hour toilet break ” Also why’s Ikuto always transforming these days ^^; (The Japanese on NicoNico think he looks really bad lol.) The first part of the episode was really dumb filler though, you basically just gotta skip to where Nikaido is at the bookstore and watch from there.

Upcoming Attractions: Amu tries to get her eggs back and runs into Utau as well. This is also in the manga so I’m hoping for another good episode.
