Thanks for those who corrected me last week in regards to Shinobu’s sister. They confirmed this again in this episode so I must have misunderstood. This episode basically goes into Miyagi’s past and how he used to have a crush on his disabled teacher who eventually died. It was similar to how Shinobu has a crush on him since his teacher was obviously older and did not have the same feelings. The difference is of course, when Shinobu begins avoiding Miyagi, he realizes that hey he actually kinda likes Shinobu too…and with a dramatic (lack of IKANAIDE though) conclusion he stops Shinobu from going back to Australia near the end. Also, this episode was buttsecks free - which is kinda nice for a change. It seems a lot of fans dislike this couple but I kinda like it lol. I think Shinobu’s persistancy is cute

And so this week concluds the Tsubaki vs Masamune battle. It was pretty excitingu and action packed and it was great seeing BONES do this adaptation. The only thing that disappointed me was when Black Star said “I’ll KILL YOU” (in reference to the kid wanting to smack Tsubaki), it seemed more impactful in the manga. So I heard Kodokawa is now after yaoi fangirls for downloading Junjou fansubs off Anime Suki. Oh noes! Finally we reach the terrorist couple, which I actually find to be quite amusing (and not just because I like both of their seiyuus lol.) We got this whole shota/oyaji pairing (i think ages 18 and 35??) and the shota is like an ukeseme or something. He constantly pushes himself on to the other guy like a seme, but the moment the other guy takes action, he becomes a crying uke. Continue Reading »

No Soul/Maka fangirling this week as this episode was strictly focused on Black Star and Tsubaki. We got a bit of a background on how a lot of villages hate Black Star’s family (Hoshizoku) because they raided villages and killed a lot of people. What I kinda wanted to see was the scene of when Tsubaki and Black Star first became partners. Maybe I’m jumping the gun and it’s next week (I can’t remember.) As I’m watching Black Star fight that guy who got possessed I’m like “Why can’t he be as cool outside of battles as he is INSIDE of battles?” It’s like he’s REALLY strong, but he’s too busy acting like a dumbass to make any use of it. Too bad after this arc he goes back to being a moron again. Next week looks pretty promising.
