While trying to find a god damn upload of this episode, I ran into some videos of people playing the game. So I randomly clicked on one and less than a minute in, it occurred to me that Yume looks like she’s 12. I have to say I’ll give the props to the anime team for making everyone at least LOOK their age. The only character who I feel looks better in the game than the anime is probably Koko. I feel she looks kinda buff in the anime but cuter in the game. Yume looks 12 and everyone else’s head just looked incredibly deformed to me during the dialogue scenes. It was so revolting that any desire I had (which was low to begin with) to even try the game out pretty much jumped out the window. This week’s episode was only awesome because Jyuunichi ran us down memory lane of the original Da Capo and talked about “girls being able to read minds who sing well”, “a girl who loved bananas”, “the sisters who ate nabe” and “cats who turn into human girls”. Ahh thank you Jyuunichi, you’re the only thing saving this for me from the brink of total doom.

Yume, why do you bother with your no personality “nii-san” when you have skillz in studying, skiing and hell look at this screenshot, you could even be a ballerina! But no, you gotta go dreaming up some nightmares about your dear “nii-san” and how the two of you will die in a skii accident. At first I thought it was a flashback to some childhood trauma, but then in the end it turned out to just be a nightmare she had. Blah, and I thought they’d give Yume some depth. I haven’t read anyone’s posts about the game routes to avoid spoilers, but I find this a disappointment. Also, guess what guys, this week Nanaka had like 6 lines!

I love how in these kinds of shows that if someone gets sick, there is no way out and everything has to be cancelled or shut down. I mean who cares if someone in a puppet show gets sick. Sure there’s no one else who remembers the lines, but who the hell’s gonna see you reading them from a script behind a giant black curtain? I mean hell when I was forced to be some background character in a Hamlet play I wrote my lines on top of a book I was carrying and kept looking down to make it seem like I’m a noble old fart and it worked fine! I actually enjoyed this episode mostly because it answered some of my DCII unsolved mysteries. The one big question I had was why the hell did they call Yoshiyuki as brother yet he did not live with them and had a different last name. Well alas thanks to flashbacks it was explained that he came to live with the Asakuras at a young age (although it does not say why) and because he was living in the same house Yume called him “niichan” and Otome decided to refer to him as ototoukun. Ok so I guess this week I won’t call Yume a bitch. She actually had her reasons for being tsuntsun although now I feel bad for her and kinda wanna kick Yoshidouchebag in the nuts. The episode this week focused on Anzu, who’s clearly and erololi, I mean she wears a garter belt under her school uniform. Who wears sexy lingere to high school? Aaaand we’re back with another 13 episodes of Da Crapo season 2. Everyone was concerned that I wasn’t picking up the fanservicy shows to flame, but that’s because I was saving my seasonal grill for this show! Since we know that season 1 ended on a shitty note, season 2 doesn’t start out any different. The ending of episode 1 somewhat intrigued me though so this show will be added to my Saturday line up. Well Monday’s flamebait is over. If you guys think the show’s terrible you should see the comments from the Japanese people watching it on NicoNico. I don’t know who said there’s gonna be another DCII sequel but at the rate this one went, I don’t know if I care to see it. Nothing in this episode made sense and after all that Koko fodder we got the robo ending. I think my favorite comment was “Let’s see the porn!” My guess is her story is so washed out that the only thing for the game player to look forward to is the sex scenes. I didn’t really pay attention to half the episode because the comments were more amusing than the episode itself. Also I loled at someone’s ending comments of “god knows” and “it’s a Haruhi parody!” If you dropped this show early on, you can pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
