Slayers Revolution - 07
This week Lina & co. take a cruise on a nice boat because apparently it’s the shorter way. (Couldn’t they just have flown?) They expense it on Amelia’s bank account while they’re at it. Everything is fine & dandy until they get served tentacles for dinner and have random sharp objects thrown their way. Turns out the entire boat really is a “nice boat” full of people who want to kill them to get the sword of light.
In addition, once they come up with a plan to trick everyone on the ship about the sword of light…turns out the real enemy is Kakashi Sensei some masked ninja who wants to kill Lina Inverse! (What else is new.) In the end thanks to Pokomon’s sword of light, Lina’s able to save Gourry and somewhat kick that guy’s ass. I guess he’s not a 1 episode filler character as he managed to escape with “I will be back to waste your time later on” parting words.
Is it me or does Gourry appear to be completely useless in this series? I mean all he does is act macho, make friends with jelly fish and get saved by Lina. Kinda disappointing if you ask me. 
Also more Pokomon blushing this week.

Given that Zuuma is a novel character, he predates Kakashi by about a decade. He was in the original Saillune assassination plan story arc, and he pretty much had the exact same purpose then as he does here: be an incredibly hard to kill ninja. I think he got adapted rather well, even if he was shoehorned into this fillery fun arc we have going.

*sigh* Poor Gourry. Makes one nostalgic for Slayers NEXT considerably.
Oh c’mon, Gourry ain’t that useless. Remember, Zuuma exudes a MAGIC-NEGATING MIST, for Haruhi’s sake. Unless Pokota whips out his replica sword of light, that pretty much means that the less martial-inclined of the party’s magic users are screwed — which gives Gourry an excuse to strut his stuff.
Um, I thought Gourry was always useless in the whole franchise. Makes him the comic relief (in fact for me the most memorable gag of his was when he was dressed in drag to become a consort to this pirate guy (and act as undercover agent) - saw it first in this AMV that was running with the Aerosmith track “Dude looks like a lady”
).
Zuuma is amazing in the novels. There is a scene where Lina chops off both his arms :twisted:. He runs away and is all, “I WILL RETURNNNN!” Like, okay, grow some arms. He was really though to beat. He, like, merged with Seigram. Seigram’s dead, now, so I do not see how the staff could do it for the anime. Oh, wells.
Gourry is useless without the sword of light. In the novels, he later gets the Blast Sword. The sword can pretty much slice through anything. Like, if you drop it, it will go through the earth and shiz.
Not a lot of people did read the novels, sadly. They WERE released in america, but poor sales of the first half means we’ll likely never see the second half. Which sucks, because the novels are awesome. I haven’t been able to find translations on the internets, either.
I’m still waiting for the “big” storyline for this season of Slayers….

Because I am just bored. We need something unusual. It completely boring when you your favourite Mahcross dorama only airs… weekly while in between work sucks like shit. I am currently suffering from pentup fangirl rage only because the idiots at work work worse than a pack of trained monkeys.
BTW, where did Lina get her breasts from? I thought she was classed as DFC?
