Manga Review: Shugo Chara Ch. 31-32
I think I’m going to hate myself for this, but for a decreased S&M effect I’ll probably close comments before the end of the week. So if you feel the need to ask questions (not of the where can I download kind) or fangirl, now’s your chance! 
So umm Ch. 31 would start off what would assuringly be volume 8 when it’s released in January 2009. 
Unfortunately as I’m not privileged (or spamful) enough to have enough posts to download the chapters off that super elite shugo chara forum, I had to settle with screencaps from someone’s Veoh video lol. I wasn’t able to read everything cause it was too blurry but enough to get the gist of the chapter. So basically Yoru begs Amu to help, Amu says why it is always me and runs off crying. Meanwhile Kuukai finds Tadase all emo on a swing and takes him home. There they talk about how Tadase is jealous that Kuukai has 4 brothers but Kuukai says they can be loud and annoying. He also tells him his story about how it was thanks to them that he started soccer and eventually Tadase’s mood lightens up. He explains that even though it seems like Ikuto’s the bad guy, he still cares about him.
Anyway eventually Amu stops being whiny and goes to save Ikuto. When they get there they see him holdinga black egg in his hand, but not an X-egg. He uses this egg to transform into a new chara nari - Death Rebel. (Cause you know how Amu said he’s rebellious in volume 7 lol.) He has no memory or any consciousness while he’s transformed and can’t even recognize Yoru.
Ikuto begins destroying shit and their battle zone happens to be the amusement park that Amu went to with him in an earlier volume. When Ikuto is about to destroy their raburabu teacup she stands to protect it, however Tadase arrives in the nick of time and saves her from being turned into Meow Mix. When Tadase begins to speak to Ikuto, suddenly the brainwashing begins to wear off and cause Ikuto great pain.
Eventually Ikuto passes out and his stepdad throws him in the car and drives away. Simultaneously the Embryo appears as well. Amu wants to chase after them but Tadase holds her back.
And so now we hit chapter 32.
Amu feels awful and apologizes to Tadase about lying to him.
Tadase explains to her that this amusement park is one where both his and Ikuto’s family used to go to. He also begins to give a history about how his family was friends with Ikuto’s family. Unfortunately all was not to be splendid as Tadase’s mom is a fucking bitch who was jealous of Ikuto’s mom thinking that Tadase’s dad had the hots for her. 
When Ikuto’s dad Alto disappeared, Tadase’s dad gives him the Humpty Key - although doesn’t explain what it does at the time.
Due to this, Tadase’s dad also allows Utau and Ikuto to live with them because their mother got sick so they had no one to care for them. Needless to say, Tadase’s mom isn’t the least bit pleased and blames everything no Ikuto. Poor shota Ikuto just goes along with it. 
The only one who’s on their side is Tadase’s granny. She tells Tadase not to believe in the “bad luck violin” and tells him to believe in Ikuto. Unfortunately Ikuto is a sad panda and one day he leaves Tadase’s house right in front of him. He doesn’t come back for a while, and eventually when Ikuto/Utau’s mom gets better, she leaves and takes Utau with her - and then marries one of the Easter faggots. (Aka when Utau mentioned her mom betrayed them.) Not to soon after, Tadase comes home and hears a nostalgic sound - Ikuto’s violin. Unfortunately, he also comes home to his dead dog Betty - as well as his passed out granny. Ikuto says nothing but takes Tadase’s Humpty Key and leaves.
After hearing this story Amu is in tears and says that Ikuto’s heart must be so beaten up. She puts herself in his shoes and gets even more depressed. fortunately Yaya tells her that being a crybaby is HER job and Amu’s job is to be a kickass main character. 
Amu gets happy again and decides she’s gonna go kick some Easter ass.
I don’t know if I’ll get chapter 33. Ch. 31 was horrific to read, and I got lucky I found a rapidshare link for 32. So yea me reviewing these chapters it all depends if I can get scans - otherwise I’ll continue where I left off when the manga volume is released.

chibi ikuto is cuter than chibi tadase and tadase in a skirt combined!
I also added tadase’s mother to my abandon in the desert in wet leather till she dies of pain or bloodlost from the leather shrinking and cutting her skin.
Still blogging Shugo Chara…awesome. And spoilers are even more awesome! The stupid fangirls can just swap their stupid comments and theories with each other later on the crunchyroll forums. Then I can just laugh at how wrong they are anyway.
So…further proof that Ikuto was a really good brother and just darn cute. Cuter than any other little boy I’ve seen in Shugo Chara anyway. And finally…it’s time to kick some Easter ass. I hope someone throws the director out a window.

Chapter 32 made me all teary-eyed… I feel like hugging Ikuto and/or slap him for being so selfless =.=; I’m just glad we have the Shugo Charas to prevent this series from turning into an angst fest. Can’t wait for chapter 33!

Oh, wow, Ikuto’s dad’s name is Alto? I find this even funnier considering Alto from Macross Frontier and Ikuto share the same seiyuu!
i only bought volume 4 of shugo chara soo far but regardless of who Amu ends up with in the end ill buy this entire seris… I gotta say though usally im the kinda girl who likes the main female character too go with the match the author originaly pointed too but this is the first time i dont care who Amu ends up with need it be Nadehiko (OMG ANOTHER HAKU!!!

Finally a not gay Ikuto transformation! I really think Ikuto and Yoru’s transformation is gay because of Ikuto’s leather belly shirt. Also, little kid Ikuto is so cute, you just wanna hug the poor little guy. Thanks for blogging!

Wow the Ikuto/Utau story sounds so heartwrenching, I can somehow figure out why Utau clings to onii-tan so much.
