Shugo Chara - 43: The grand finale for this blog.

I know a few people are confused as to why Shugo Chara is listed under dropped shows on my blog. I figure I owe my loyal readers an explanation (the rest of you obnoxious brats go to hell :evil: )

Unlike most people with a brain, the really dumb Shugo Chara fangirls fail to realize this is a personal blog. Not only that, they then try to shove their brainless horrible grammar banter on me to try to convince me that a magical girl anime (which I have seen more than they can count on their fingers) that has fillers is totally okay and me complaining about it is unheard of. (How DARE I complain about ugly filler characters that add nothing to the story!) In addition, while other bloggers complain of filler, all the shit seems to always end up here, kinda like how when all the garbage from other houses gets blown to the one on the corner.

So then as a solution, I figured I’d continue blogging with comments closed. Unfortunately, this closes the pathway for comments from my GOOD readers which I enjoy discussing this show with. So then blogging Shugo Chara became kinda boring because well I didn’t really have much to say considering how far I am in the manga. “Yea yea, it was cool, I’m glad the fight scene was done well, Utau’s transformation was very pretty etc. Yawn.”

So as this weekend was approaching I realized: Wow blogging shugo chara is like as stressful as trying to find a job from a temp agency. *Insert nonexistant barf emoticon* So now that basically volume 6 is over (they’re stretching it out to do the Kairi moving away + confession into next week) there’s not much left of season 1. It’s obviously going to just be random fillers - and no not the good kind. You know what fillers were awesome? Genshiken II with yaoi fantasies. Those were the best fillers I’ve ever seen, and Shugo Chara doesn’t even come close. (Unless you’re a lolicon who enjoys seeing recycled transformation scenes.)

Once again, I will not be blogging season 2. As far as the manga? I’m still reading it, it’s all good. Will I do another review? I don’t know. Jen does a pretty decent job reviewing the nakayoshi chapters as they come out so I don’t see the point of me doing it. By the time I get the volume purchased most people already know what happens so I don’t see who’d be interested anyway. :???:

As far as comments - well someone suggested for me to leave the open for 2-3 days…then close them. Let’s face it, the majority of loyal readers will read it right away, say their 2 cents, and move on. It’s the random idiots who find this post on google, not reading any of the prior ones and come barging in with their bullshit. (Kinda like if someone walked into your house with their feel full of mud after you’ve washed the floor, expecting you to welcome them in with open arms.)

Anyway I hope that answers any questions you guys may have. Sorry it had to end this way - although I suppose that I woulda dropped it eventually anyway since I stopped blogging fillers a while ago.

    Hmm, the yaoi fantasy epi that’s how a filler should be done, instead of random stories the writers pulled out of the a-hole. :mad:

    It’s “easy” to ignore a fucktard but it’s still annoying to read the stupid things they write, so it’s a good decision to stop blogging this train wreck of a series, even if I’ll miss the fangirling over Amuto. :oops:

    Your Shugo Chara posts were great and even if I’m not into SC that much, I read them because you always had something sharp to say. You know, I prefer a ranting blogger over a blogger who thinks all shows are wonderful and that. So keep the good work! (And ignore the brats) :smile:

    I’m still watching the show, and I’ll probably watch the fillers, but I know what you mean about the fangirls, and how they ruin Shugo Chara. The majority are on Crunchy Roll, and they make random, stupid rumours up like “ooh, Ami got a Shugo Chara” or “Ikuto’s second chara is a dog”. T_T. I think you did well - 43 episodes are a lot. It seems a lot of blogs have already dropped it apart from Simplicity (and if I manage to open up my own blog before the series ends, I’ll probably blog it, too). I’ll miss reading your SC posts :)

    Whoa, you made my heart stop for a second. I thought you were going to stop blogging completely. :shock:. I don’t usually comment on here but I had stop and say damn the annoying fangirls! I love the ‘ranting/sarcastic’ commentary that you give for the Shugo Chara fillers. It’s a lot better than the crap the producer come up with for the show. They should consider the yaoi fantasy thing. It could be worth a couple of episodes :twisted:.

    Nice try fag lol. :twisted: I (fortunately) watched Card Captor Sakura as my 2nd magical girl anime (Sailormoon being the first) so at the time “fillers” didn’t bother me since I didn’t have like 6 other shows I was watching simultaneously. Also I had read the CCS manga way after I watched the anime which makes the entire situation different.

    Ah, so you admit that you’re looking back to previous entries in the magical girl genre with rose-colored glasses and holding Shugo Chara to an arbitrary higher standard for no rational reason? Good to know.

    It’s funny how you’ve apparently become more narrow-minded as you’ve grown older. This tends to be the opposite for most people.

    This show is still going! I stop watching it at episode 10. :???: Then I got tired of watching all the fillers. I don’t blame you at all for dropping this show. The only reason I got to episode 10 was because of Ikuto. :razz:

    I must say that I am depressed that you have dropped Shugo Chara, seeing as I enjoy your comments to this show. Although I do support you on your reasoning. Shugo Chara has way too many fillers lately and its annoying to say the least. :mad:

    I think they´re stretching Shugo Chara out too much and its getting on my nerves. That´s a lot of thinking from me seeing as I love Shugo Chara.

    Well, I hope in the near future you will decide to at least keep blogging the manga since I love the way you blog. ^^.

    It was not really fillers, the chapter exists and they just (very) expanded that part to cover a entire episode.

    The previous episode to that one was a filler.

    As for CCS comments, I checked and they just added 34 more Clow Cards, the main issue with fillers is when adding said fillers … some shows can take fillers relative well when they are still at early stage and are in a “monster of the week” format, others cannot …

    Also lets not ignore the fact CCS was 70 episodes … Shugo Chara? 51 plus the 2nd season that will make it at least 62 episodes (assuming a 11 episode season, chances are its going to be another 50 episode marathon that means 102 episodes

    Also lets not forget the CCS anime started AFTER the manga was completed, Shugo Chara is ongoing …

    And talking about CLAMP, I want point out Chobits that had fillers but those fillers that simply added padding end up creating in my opinion some character derailment (Hideki is a almost a complete idiot in the anime a lot due to fillers stressing his “country boy” image).

    As for “higher standarts” … let me say this, I do not complain about people blogging Code Geass and say its great because I hold the opposite opinion.

    I dunno, I’ve only read/own the first 3 volumes of the manga, but I didn’t think the fillers were THAT bad. As far as random commenters who obviously don’t come to the blog on a regular basis….I typically ignore them. But in the end, stressful blogging = fail as always. So, don’t do it. I’m personally on board for the second season, but we’ll talk about that when the time comes.

    I’m not sure what it is about this show that makes the kids lose their shit…I like it too, but crikey. Maybe it’s all the preteen hormones. Actually I’m more irritated by some company’s efforts to stretch out what was a decent story to razor thin proportions in order to squeeze every last drop out of the gravy train. (ugly mixed metaphor, sorry :)

    I guess I’ll continue to watch and read the manga — or maybe just read the manga since the masses have consistently pissed off the main fansubbers. ^^ Doesn’t sound like they’re up for season 2, for similar reasons.

    It really is too bad that all the annoying immature fans that Shugo Chara! has created ruined blogging this anime for you. I was enjoying reading your thoughts on all the good episodes anyway.

    But it’s completely understandable, I don’t deal with the idiots the same as you, but when you blog the fillers, they just get made worse by all the stupid fans going, “OMG! THIS IS A GREAT EPISODE! I WONDER IF -THIS- WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE OF THIS FILLER CHARACTER?” Um no. They’ll never appear again, they just wasted 24 minutes of your time. :mad:

    Ah, wells, it was nice that you were able to blog Shugo Chara <3 for a while; a good thing you’re dropping it as well, the episodes after 43 most are probably going to be all fillers D8; I don’t understand how a lot of fans are excited for this, and like you’ve said, the anime is not much of an appeal anymore; the only thing to keep up with is the manga…

    :neutral: should CCS fillers even count? Last I checked CLAMP was in total control of what went on with that anime, thus the reason the non-manga related stuff didn’t suck, plus since the anime of CCS decided to go a slightly deviated route than the manga (what with adding in the non-exitant Meilin and all the extra cards) technically there were no fillers in that show. Putting that aside, there’s no need torturing yourself blogging this show if your hearts not in it, sort of reminds me of the time I was forcing myself to do episode summaries of Tsubasa chronicles. Let’s just say it wasn’t pretty…and was chalk full of bitter sarcasm :mad:

    Shugo Chara fans should know very well that people are entitled to their own opinions. Like uhm, we possess different Shugo tamas and/or naritai jibuns or something.     well, it was fun reading your reviews about Shugo Chara, but i do agree with you about all the fillers. Shugo Chara’s just getting too tiring to watch cause of damn fillers. Oh well.

    Though it seems upcoming fillers will be about Utau/Rima or something.
