Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu - 03

Published by Hinano at 8:59 pm under Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

YES FUCKIN’ HUGGING!

Dude this show was like meant for me. I mean so far every character who has appeared is not like shoving their hooters or loli panties into the male leads face. On top of that if any “accident” happens he’s like “GO AWAY MY HEART BELONGS TO HARUKA” rather than “OH YEA BRING ON THE PEDOBEAR!”

And at the end whoaaa Haruka kicked some serious ass. Telling that faggot that the magazine was hers and that if he says anything about Yuuto she’ll smash his head into a tree.

What I find really interesting is how otaku are portrayed as evil disgusting beasts while Yuuto’s like “WHAT THE FUCK OTAKU CAN BE HOT TOO JUST LOOK AT MY (potential) GIRLFRIEND HERE!” I mean geez poor Haruka had some childhood trauma there just because some kids saw her with an anime magazine in MIDDLE school. Come on it’s MIDDLE school she’s like 12, what’s wrong with 12 year olds like anime? God.

Also Haruka’s sister is awesome. She and the maid are like “OH YEAAA HARUKA x YUUTO FTW!” Don’t mind if I join you ladies. It’s great to see a show that doesn’t ALWAYS follow stereotypes. I mean when Haruka sees her sister glomping Yuuto instead of going tsundere/yandere and kicking his ass she smiles and goes “oh my sister likes you! don’t be such a spoiled little girl now! :) ” LOL.

So far I love this show, I wasn’t expecting much at the begging but this is turning out to be quite fun as well as cute.
And this episode had me smiling all throughout, especially the hug scene… and the ass-kicking of the jerk.

haha  yea.. i love the whole idea of them not being dragging about each other…. normally it takes like 10 20 episodes for the female lead to invite her guy into her house but this anime does it in 3rd episode  and i dun think theres gona be a whole bunch of big hooters women flushing down on our main guy here which all the most makes me more happy  and NO LOLICON LOVE WOOO  i though for sure that the last part when the shit face bastard went and insult yuuto haruka would slap him.. dint expect her to toss him haf way across the galaxy  suppose we might be seeing haruka and yuuto kissing soon??

  6. apocwaron 25 Jul 2008 at 9:26 am

Yay hugging indeed! You mean there’s actual emotional depth to an anime?? Perhaps I, like others, judged to quickly about this anime and needs to be chizzeckin it out. *heads to tokyo toshokan*

Well this is based on a light novel and from the looks of things its not some otaku pandering like Lucky Star.

I supposed some years ago being a Otaku in Japan carried the same sigma as being a “Gamer”.

    great episode..
i’m really glad i’m following this series, and after reading the character summaries at wiki i’ll probably like the rest of the unintroduced cast…
and since this is based on a light novel and not an eroge they’ll probably develop haruka x yuuto more instead of yuuto x girl of the episode, which will probably make everyone who are tired of harem series happy …

Have you heard of “Kyouhaku Dogs: Another Secret”? It’s by SHAA, the artist of the Haruka Nogizaka’s Secret light novels, and it’s essentially a gender swapped version with dog ears. Volume 1 has been released in the United States by Infinity Studios.

A dog-girl, sort of a cross between Clannad’s Fuko (SHAA also did the Dengeki G’s Clannad manga) and a puppy, discovers that the school’s most feared “mad dog” delinquent is in secret a hardcore otaku, and blackmails him into becoming her pet. The story is about the love that develops as the two of them share this secret.

There is some pandering and fanservice, but there are a lot of sweet and touching moments. They refer to Haruka Nogizaka by name, and Clumsy Aki and the Innocent Smile comic magazine also make an appearance.

Strangely enough as a guy I don’t watch this show for the girl but for the male lead, he’s normal guy with his head, heart and penis all in the right place. I was beginning to think that anime only had 4 archetypes for men, the wealthy prince that is so cold he makes serial killers look passionate(Kyaaa! hes cute rich and uncaring so I’ll let him get away with sexual assault!), the weak prepubescent kid thats so shy it is nearly a physical disability(honestly if just touching another person sends them into a fit of hysteria then how the hell do they ride the Japanese rail system?), the walking bag of hormones than is so obsessed with tits that he behaves in a manner that would insure that any real girl would never show him theirs willingly(note that this type often end up with love interests that are robots, aliens or spiritual beings) or the emo badass(don’t all that asskicking get in the way of their narcissistic introspection?) so being able to watch a show with out hoping for a nice boat ending for the guy lets me forgive a lot of flaws.

It took just three episodes for intimate physical contact? Now why couldn’t Clannad have been like this?

I just wish they’d ditch the emoness and make it a slice-of-life show. I much more enjoy the silly random cuteness. The 90-seconds of mandatory contrived plot that gets shoe-horned into each episode is boring and could better be spent on more Mamiko being moe.

So far, I’ve seen all 3 episodes of this series and it’s not bad all. I really like the show. I still feel that Haruka calling Yuuto’s first name was all way too sudden (even for Yuuto), now that everyone will think that they are a ‘rabu-rabu’ couple. I really like Mika, Haruka’s young sister, she’s cool and she’s not going tsundere nor yandere on Yuuto like any other characters we know.

Come on it’s MIDDLE school she’s like 12, what’s wrong with 12 year olds like anime? God.

You imply that there is something wrong with old people, possibly mid-twenties liking animé…

I really like Haruka no himizu, it’s really cute!

yes, particularly when it’s middle aged men who propup the magical girl demographic. >_>
