Rin & Len sing “Tail Wags the Dog.”

I haven’t been keeping up with Kagamine Rin & Len songs as much as Miku ones since they are less popular. Someone on my DA watch list did a fanart for a song called “Gekokujou” which according to jim breen means “retainer supplanting his lord” or “juniors(Rin & Len) dominating seniors (Miku & Kaito)”. I really got addicted to the song but the problem is as a running gag they use all sorts of old timey kanji and it doesn’t help that Rin & Len never pronounce any of their lyrics properly. So here I am sitting and listening to this happy song but I can only catch words like “road roller” and “gekokujou” :shock:


So umm yea for my own personal understanding I’ve attempted to translate the lyrics…but I figured I’d share for anyone else who liked this song and wanted to know wtf they’re singing about ^^; If anyone has corrections please let me know, I’m not confident in my old Japanese translations :mad:

二代目襲名　早三月 番付埋めるは先代ばかり

    Yea you know honestly a lot of popular Miku songs are total shit, (like Black Rock Shooter :roll: ) I also wish there were more Len and Rin songs they’re so loveable <3

    You brai is “friend”? x3 And why would this be under conventions? xD;;; I remember (kind of) when this hit the Vocaloid Rankings. I think it ranked somewhere in the top three at one point.

    There’s always KOKORO sung by Rin, that one hun onto the top spots for a while. *shrugs* I listen to the Rankings so I see a few Rin/Len songs from time to time. I have an abundance of Miku, and I’m slowly getting more Rin and Len songs. I’d just zip ‘em all up, but last I tried to upload my Vocaloid folder in ZIP format it never even made it to a time. :shock: Gawd I have to many songs (177 right now on my Vocaloid Playlist).

    I have no idea why it ended up under conventions…I know my computer froze or something happened while writing the post so that’s probably why lol.

    Hehe I have maybe 40? Most are Miku though, a few Kaito, like 1 Meiko and like 4 rin/len. I haven’t kept up with Vocaloid like I used to

    hehe, translation otsukaresama~! I kinda ignored this song cause while I liked the tune, I had no idea what was going on. Vocaloids singing fast is impossible to understand and… I just saw kanji flying by so I wasn’t going to even try. So thanks for the job well done :wink:

    funny song indeed! I just developed an obsession for Len today when I drew a fanart of him. :twisted:

    XD You’d get to see how messy and horrible my art looks before the final product then… D: but I’d love to! I used to be afraid of pchat, then I randomly felt like it yesterday… and it was fun~
