Itazura na Kiss - 12

still recovering from the shock of Futae no Kiwami being wiped off Nico but anyway. Last week was some sort of volleyball tournament and so ItaKiss skipped a broadcast. So this week Naoki is approached by one of his dad’s co-workers who gives him a proposal to have an “omiai” with one of the British daughters (or was she from somewhere else? well anyway she’s obviously an English speaking gaijin). This would help his dad’s company and take off the stress so he wouldn’t have his heart attacks. On the other hand, Naoki has to give up his dream of being a doctor.
Or was that Kotoko’s dream? 
Anyway Yuko tries to team up with Kotoko to ruin the omiai but they both end up screwing themselves over. LOL I mean come on who throws caterpillars? XD Naoki of course is aware 100% that it was Kotoko trying to screw things up. Also you can probably watch this episode raw because there’s a lot of English dialogue haha. (Or should I say Engrish.) Kotoko asks Naoki later if he plans to get married and he says probably.
So with this Kotoko decides to give up. Yuko says she wishes she had “lost” to Kotoko because she was a good rival while Kris (or whatever her name is) won the battle without putting up a fight. Kotoko then gets invited on a date with Kin-chan and since she’s ronery and sad she accepts. She has fun with him and as they are walking home they run into Naoki and Kris. Kotoko just politely says hello and then asks Kin-chan to walk away.
When they walk away they look out on to the ocean. While Kotoko is busy crying (but failing to hide it), Kin-chan asks her to marry him. Of course she doesn’t give him the direct answer and the episode ends. I don’t really think that gaijinko is a good match for Naoki, but then again I don’t really think Kin-chan is a good match for Kotoko either. I can only imagine him ending up with someone like Jinko lol.

Hmm…I don’t remember him going out with the gaijin; it was some other girl, I think. However, Christina does play a part in the manga since she becomes someone else’s love interest. I wonder who it could be~
Oh, and it looks like the rain scene is coming up ridiculously fast. It should show up in either the next episode or the episode after that

So they haven’t revealed the mystery of Kotoko’s dream kiss huh… darn it. I was looking forward to that.
I guess it’ll be next ep.
And yea, I don’t remember the foreigner either… I was pretty sure that the girl was Japanese… I mean, she had a Japanese name anyways.
And Kin-chan and Kotoko went out and he proposed all in one ep? This thing seems faster than I thought it would be… and I thought the dream kiss was revealed before that… or maybe I’m just forgetting the order of stuff.
Oh the shoujo goodness~
Well I guess that means the rain ep is next.
shame on kotoko… using poor kin-chan as doormat when all he’s done was fall in love with her and sing songs composed especially for her and making sign posts in the college cafeteria……………..

The omiai girl in the manga was DEFINITELY Japanese, I think she was supposed to be a very “Yamato Nadeshiko” type.
Kris, if I recall, is a character but she’s supposed to come later and she’s not supposed to be into Naoki at all (one of the few). But I guess they’re being economical here.

And the dream reveal, if I remember, doesn’t happen until after the rain scene, during the . . oops, spoiler!
Oh good God a KinxJinko spawn would be a plague on us all. Better that they mix with some one with more pleasant and dominant genes or not breed at all. One Kin-chan and Jinko is more than enough we doen’t want a gaggle of them do we?

In the manga, Chris is an exchange student from England who befriends Kotoko, and the two girls have a similar personality. The anime Chris is actually Sahoko in the manga, like someone already mentioned, a perfect Yamato Nadeshiko. Naoki pursues her in order to save Papa’s company.
I was rather disappointed by this new take on Chris, because….well those of you who’ve read the manga know why. I wonder if it’ll still go down that route, though.
I was wondering where the name Chris sounded familiar! After reading the comments it dawned on me, hahaha. And judging from her reactions during the date, I’m pretty sure they want to head down “that route”… I think that because they’re in such a rush to reach the end, they’re going to be including some drastic changes to the manga, which apparently includes combining characters. This should be… interesting. As far as the “rain scene” goes, I’m gonna bet on the beginning of the next episode, as long as they’re still going at this lightning speed. In fact, I’m sure there will be much more than just the rain scene
