  4. Hinano UNITED STATESon 17 Jun 2008 at 5:55 pm

For some reason I can’t tell much difference. I heard people said FF2 was slow but they seem about the same to me. I’ve only used FF3 for about 10 minutes though. :P And now I’m off to CG

Uuuuu…..I think I was the first to vote in your poll……anyhow, “fo sho!”

Thanks for the reminder. Who IE these days (outside of compatibility issues)…

I wish I could have FF on my work computer. Sadly, the Japanese office is still all about the IE crap. T-T

Can’t say I’ve noticed much difference in performance either just yet (loading speeds are probably more of a server-side issue I would’ve thought) but I still prefer it over even the latest version of IE.

So yeah, I’m enjoying the latest FF version and helping to set a new record! :)

You know what they say~! “If you’re using IE to view my blog, GTFO!”

  12. padfoot135 SINGAPOREon 17 Jun 2008 at 8:41 pm

Well does’t feel much diff in the performance.. maybe it loads abit faster in certain sites… but the picture loading is really loading alot faster  Sadly it does’t work with some of my plugins

  13. NegativeZero AUSTRALIAon 17 Jun 2008 at 10:58 pm

Worst release they’ve made, for me, at least on my Linux box. The default theme is ugly as fuck - for some crazy reason Mozilla decided that the app should look like it’s platform native. Which for Linux means they want it to look like a horrible clunky Gnome / GTK app. There are many reasons I refuse to use Gnome, and one of them is that it looks horrible.

The new address bar is one of the most irritating UI decisions I’ve ever seen, with no option to go back to the original system aside from installing an addon.

Basically I’ve spent all morning trying to undo all their retarded UI decisions and get the thing back to looking like it used to, with very limited success.

I’m also not noticing any of their touted speed improvements. Very disappointed.

  14. Hinano UNITED STATESon 17 Jun 2008 at 11:49 pm

haha it doesnt bother me :P
    I never really used any addons so it hasn’t affected me in any way^^;

  15. NegativeZero AUSTRALIAon 18 Jun 2008 at 12:15 am

You don’t use Adblock Plus? Browsing websites without that is painful.

  16. The Sojourner SINGAPOREon 18 Jun 2008 at 12:28 am

Did someone say ‘fox’? Blue Fox!

  17. Grey SINGAPOREon 18 Jun 2008 at 12:39 am

OMG eew I shouldn’t have download the latest Firefox. Like what NegativeZero said, the theme is ugly. I preferred the prev version. And! One of my Bookmarks folder is gone! >:[
But I do find it the slightest faster.

  18. quigonkenny UNITED STATESon 18 Jun 2008 at 12:50 am

Your website looks just the same in IE as it does in Opera, and I’ve never seen a site that looks different in Firefox than it does in Opera. Firefox sucks. I haven’t used it since early version 2, and haven’t missed it once…

…But at least it’s not Safari.

Cute fox makes for cute tab-browsing. As opposed to not-cute-tab-browsing.

  20. Shin MALAYSIAon 18 Jun 2008 at 1:38 am

I’m still loyal to my lolifox.

  21. Di Gi Kazune MALAYSIAon 18 Jun 2008 at 1:43 am

Tab-browsing exists in IE7. The *only* reason why the p4 is running the pos that is xp instead of 2k-tan.

There is also nothing secure about running firefox instead of ie. It’s all a hallucination. It’s about how you configure your browser. I just turn off all the non-essential java/activex useless crap. And dump all adrelated addresses to the restricted zone so they won’t even run or reconfig the ip tables.

As an aside, firepox is the choice of browser for pedobear. Because there is a plugin to download all the lolipr0n from 4chan faster!

    >> There is also nothing secure about running firefox instead of ie.

Not true, but that’s irrelevant… the best security on the interwebs is one’s own discretion. And using Firefox just happens to be a great way to show it. :>

    kenny> I noticed in some of my older posts if I forget to close an italics or center tag, it looks fine in Firefox but then IE screws up the rest of my blog x_x;

negativezero> no i don’t actually lol. I don’t do that much browsing outside of my usual sites (animenano, my blog, email, deviantart) so it doesn’t really affect me. Maybe I’m just an old fart who’s too used to browsing since back in the netscape 3 days :P

digi> I’m amazed you know about this plugin…

  24. Di Gi Kazune MALAYSIAon 18 Jun 2008 at 10:59 am

We all know hinano uses it to download shota instead.

In other news: run totali! run!

  26. DKellis SINGAPOREon 18 Jun 2008 at 11:59 am

I’m not seeing any improvements in FF3 over FF2 (or FF1, for that matter).

The hassle of re-installing plugins is almost as bad as upgrading a Wordpress install.

  27. usagijen PHILIPPINESon 18 Jun 2008 at 12:07 pm

Firefox 3 works like a charm for me, noticed the improvement in load time and less CPU hog! lightweight is good~

    and that’s really a cute kitsune X3

  28. star UNITED STATESon 18 Jun 2008 at 12:50 pm

OH yeah baby! I love FF3! Its not that there is few improvments or tha its nearly the same, you just have to know how to use the improvments and some of them you dont even notice right off the bat but they are there and they are cool. :)

Plus your site looks fine in IE7. :) It is grey isn’t it? J/K

    “kenny> I noticed in some of my older posts if I forget to close an italics or center tag, it looks fine in Firefox but then IE screws up the rest of my blog x_x;

lol… Sounds to me like that means IE’s displaying it correctly… Of course, that particular difference in Firefox is probably intentional. You can chalk that up to the blogger/Firefox relationship.

  35. Bilal UNITED STATESon 18 Jun 2008 at 11:25 pm

    WOO LONG LIVE FIREFOX!!

  36. Ina UNITED STATESon 19 Jun 2008 at 1:46 am

Idk if it’s my computer or what but FireFox goes slower than IE for me so I just use IE.

Also whenever I use FireFox it gives me some stupid error like I don’t have Flash installed or I don’t have Javascript installed, when I actually do. x_x So I virtually can’t do anything with it.

And if it makes you feel any better, I use IE and your blog still looks absolutely wonderful.

Go firefox, beats ie in rendering layouts properly any day.

  38. NyaChan UNITED STATESon 19 Jun 2008 at 3:23 pm

IE7 will kill my PC, thus I still have IE6… aaand, I’m not supposed to download sutff without asking first. :T Parents wanna be sure they knows what I might have messed up my PC with and shizz. I quiet like my IE6, even if the’re omg no tabs or whatever. It runs. And I haven’t killed my PC yet. I think that beats a new shiny thing that might kill my PC anyday.
