Itazura na Kiss - 09
I admit
that this week I just couldn’t feel sorry for Kotoko. I mean she was just acting incredibly stupid. The stupid tennis raquet marks on her face didn’t help either. Also Jinko lusting over some guy made something inside me die. What I found to be incredibly weird in this episode is that the super tough tennis club captain..is just a senpai. A student. I thought he was a freaking old man teacher! Wth
Yuko totally hits on Naoki but he agrees just to humor himself. He totally knows that Kotoko stalks him on their date. Actually she probably wasn’t going to stalk him if that senpai guy didn’t come up with his jealous rage towards Naoki. Apparently the buffoon has a crush on Yuko. Although I prefer him over Kin-chan as the annoyingness levels are further apart. So during the movie scene the senpai puts his hand so it makes it as if Yuko puts her hand on his lol. (Except she thinks she put it on Naoki’s
)
As they continue spying Naoki’s already realized he’s being watched so when Yuko asks him what his “ideal girl” would be he of course says everything that Kotoko is inept at. (Cooking, brains, and beauty lol.) Yuko thinks she and Naoki are a good couple but before they can go on with that discussion she invites him to go tennis raquet shopping. Kotoko decides she is tired of spying on them because it hurts her inside. Before she can have a swift getaway she bumps into some street punk who demands she pay him a cleaning fee for some 99cent store shirt.
Naoki takes control of the situation, puts a tennis raquet (that Yuko just bought) into the senpai’s hands and the guy turns into a raquet beast again. He proceeds to beat the crap out of the punk guy but to Yuko’s dismay he completely destroys her brand new tennis raquet. In the meantime Naoki and Kotoko go on a raburabu nice boat ride but then Kotoko acts like a dumbass again and the boat flips over making them both fall in the lake. After they get out and wait for their clothes to dry, Naoki says he enjoys a “challenging” daily life with Kotoko and that living with her isn’t so bad. Kotoko then immediately glomps him confessing her undying love for him (as if we or he didn’t know already.)
Upcoming Attractions: The episode is called “Sayonara Rainy Day” but it’s not THE rain episode from what it looks like. It’s just an episode about Kotoko moving out of the Irie house and back with her father.

Yes he is a student, even if he looks like some erojiji with a ridiculous mustache.

Geez, I didn’t think Kotoko could be more stupid she is finally on a “date” with Naoki and she has to go and ruin it, it’s moments like this that make me feel sorry for Naoki who has to live with her… and I really don’t want to feel sorry for him.
Why did Jinko’s thing make you die inside? Was it because of the horrible voice or because it felt unnatural? ?_?
It felt so unnatural + the horrible voice. Her like SWOONING voice sounds like some street crackwhore trying to get a customer
I feel really sorry for Naoki, too, especially after that one jinx episode.
Naoki can’t really THAT much of a jerk if he can put up with Kotoko’s stupidity and say living with her isn’t that bad… I’d crumble after the first few days with her.
Well looks like Naoki is getting freed next week
AHA! I knew it couldn’t be the big rain scene, there’s just too much material to cover before that.
Yeah, what’s nice about this is that you can’t feel UTTER RAGE against either Naoki or Kotoko because they both have major faults. Naoki is a jerk, Kotoko is a moron. So, in essence, they deserve each other.
Sudou the Tennis Captain would be a lot better character if he didn’t have that giant Hitler Mustache™.
That’s why I thought he was some erojiji!
I actually liked the last part, where Naoki tells Kotoko he doesn’t dislike her. I was a bit annoyed at the “trial” part, but then we can’t expect Irie to stop being all-high-and-mighty all of a sudden.
I’m a bit curious about his motives for saving Kotoko. Sure he doesn’t hate her, but then he doesn’t exactly care for her either… or did he just get bored with Yuuko?
Oh the expression on his face when he handed the sempai the racket, was brilliant.
