Japan Day 2008 to rock my soul.

Well Japan Day is now coming back to a Central Park near you on Sunday June 1st. This year JP and I aren’t apartment hunting so we’ll actually get there on time. It’s on 98th street and 5th ave - right next to the Mt. Sinai medical center. They moved it this year because someone who volunteered last year told me that it got more crowded than they had expected - which I will definitely agree with.
The highlights of this year’s Japan Day are the musical artists they’ve invited: HALCALI and Shimizu Shota. I’m sure more people know of Halcali than the 2nd one but he’s recently released a single that I really like called “HOME” so I’m looking forward to hearing more of his stuff. Here’s a video clip of the HOME PV:
There’s also gonna be a Japan Run marathon but I’m too lazy to be physically fit so it’s not something I’d be interested in joining or watching ^^; I do imagine a scenario similar to what happened at Sakura Matsuri however I’ll be more lenient this time since it’s just central park and weeaboos acting like dumbasses is nothing out of the ordinary there anyway. Also this will give me a chance to take some background photos for my game. ![]()

Bring a taser and shock the damn weeaboos.
LOL I planned on adding the taser comment. Preferably a pink seal one. I’m still not over that.
You weren’t harsh either, you were truthful and to the point, that’s why it hurt them so bad. Bastards!
Anyhoo, I absolutely Love Halicali. I discovered them as the ED for Eureka 7 and have been addicted ever since. Even though I thought they were singing “Deep thoughts” instead of “Tip Taps” the first time I heard it.
I was expecting a Naruto manga post. I only mention it because I’m in total love with the latest OP. I recall in years past when I could have said the same thing about the anime.
Now that I’ve depressed myself, I’ll shut up.
Plus I saw a phone like yours for sale. You have too much money Hinano.
I don’t even watch Naruto anymore haha. I read this week’s chapter but I was tired of writing “Itachi is a tragic greek hero” posts so maybe once the story shifts from the Uchiha’s (or at least Karin shows up to rape Sasuke) I think I’ll keep them on the low down. Yea my phone was like $500 but I also sold my previous phone on ebay for $92 and I plan to sell my canon digital camera as well which this phone replaces - so technically if you think of it from a “replacement” point of view it’s really not so bad. It’s an excellent phone, I haven’t wanted to buy a new phone at all since I got it (which is a rarity for me.)
Why is it all the japanese stuff is happening BEFORE i get too New York…Do you know any more occuring about between June 20 - July 10?
Ryunatta> There may be some events at Mitsuwa, they have one every weekend usually
Thanks Hinano >w<ill look it up hopefull ill be able too attend
OMG I LOVE SHOTA SHIMIZU. He’s doing really well for a new artist and his second single isn’t bad either (though I still like HOME better). I’m so jealous of you Hinano .
kiseki> I’m gonna see if I can snap a video this time without some jerk telling me to put my “camera” away
Wow.. well I’ll mostly be attending this with my friends.
Ryunatta - Getting to Mitsuwa is easy.. Here is their page. I just went there this past weekend for a Gourmet food festival. http://www.mitsuwanj.com/en/index.htm
