Animedia June 2008
You know I never thought about this but is Animedia an anime magazine targetted towards the female otaku/fujoshi market? I mean their big feature is “doki doki school life” and they show all sorts of animu pairings (including Code Geass, Macross and Soul Eater - Maka x Soul being the no. 1 
) Also, I am now up to 2 Code Geass folders. Why can’t they be Soul Eater ones! 
Also there’s a “June Bride” theme going on this issue. I feel it is relevant to my interests.
I also got a Shugo Chara poster that’s now on my wall. OBVIOUSLY she’s marrying Ikuto and those who think otherwise will face my (and the majority of my readers’) fangirl rage. 
Notice the figure above. Maka is linking her arms with Soul. Must work on that fanart!
Is everyone here adorable or what? Especially Kid and Maka’s dad lol. Who’s he giving flowers to? Medusa? Ew 
In case you’re wondering, the final installment of the Kiminozo OAV Haruka Route will be released June 25th. Not that I’m all that anxious to see it anyway.
There was a fanart section featuring the “June Bride” theme…but the majority of the brides were MEN. This is what I meant by the fujoshi market here. I mean first of all half the pics were from Gundam 00 featuring the mans in wedding dresses. There was also a lot of ghey reborn fanart featuring one of the guys as a bride (sigh) and a pic of Kyon as Itsuki’s bride. This Neuro/Yako pic is the only thing saving this page from all hell.
I didn’t bother scanning anything else as all it was is more Code Geass and Gundam 00 cutouts as well as more fanarts. One of them I think was Sasuke being Naruto’s bride. I think if I had to choose a more “useful” magazine I’d go with Newtype. I do miss that Animedia used to be a lot bigger and always had stickers in every issue. Did they water it down in the last 5 years or something?

I thought you liked CG. It was okay. I haven’t watched the second one yet, but now that it’s airing on Adult Swim, it will be the new Death Note or Bleach in a matter of months.

Newtype is the magazine that’s really worth the bucks, imo. I subscribed to Animedia for 3 months (stopped last month) but found it quite a waste of monies.
They make up for lack of noteworthy articles, anime coverage (and colored pages? lol) with the extra goodies, but bah… they’re still not that good (mostly postcards, posters, calendars). I did find it nifty that they gave this “song book” for the May issue though, with music sheet of many anime OP or ED themes. I’ve been wondering whether I should go scan and post about it, but I was worried it’s gonna be a useless post or something 
We’ll see if I can get into fangurl mode next time and do my own magazine pimping, for the other series hehe (like Neo Angelique lulz) XD

Yea they had some Neo Angelique in both mags but since I’m not keeping up with it I didn’t bother scanning it.
That Soul x Maka picture looks really neat. Too bad it wasn’t a poster cuz I would totally hang that on my wall.
And loooooool at that bride fanart page.

There is this image I have which looked like an ad for an Amu dakimakura, using the exact same image. Now I know it’s fake.

man brides you say? Seems like the japanese community are becoming more obsessively gay friendly by the year. I wonder if it’s just a trend or do they really feel that man brides are that much hotter than girl brides.
But I’m happy atleast ONE neu/yako fanart was submitted. The fandom isn’t exactly as big as I wish it is considering that the manga is so awesome. Much better than most of the other mangas featured in Shonen Jump right now.
Just wondering… since I can’t read japanese… what are the little dialogue that Yako is screaming/shrieking and Neuro is yelling?

There is a Japantown in San Francisco. They have a shop called Kinokuniya Bookstore. That is where I have to go to get the Rabu*con manga b/c I cant find the ending volume manga scans anywhere online
