Naruto Chapter 400
Well it looks like we finally hit the big 4 - 0 - 0…and the manga has turned into an Uchiha pity fest featuring Konoha as the bad guys. I guess now we can see where Danzou was involved (but he seemed suspicious from the start) but then it makes the rest of Konoha seem like a bunch of evil assholes who once again oppressed the Uchihas + Naruto. By the way who’s Naruto again? I mean I know the manga is called Naruto, but I think he was a character right..? *shrug* 
Also the most recent volume of Naruto is out (if you care to waste your money) and it features that Naruto (whoever HE is) leaning against Jiraiya (some dead guy.) So yea Itachi just loved his little oniichan so he didn’t kill him. Aren’t you just full of guilt pangs now Sasuke!
Ok you got me here Kishimoto. So basically Itachi “pretended to hate” Sasuke so he would get stronger. (Hence why he lacks hate, balls, etc.) Also 3rd Hokage tried to make peace & all but failed, and so #4 and #5 didn’t even bother. Great. This clearly makes Hokage #3 the only good one as the rest were “evil Uchiha opressors.”
A typical Sasuke reaction. Not that I’m surprised. Does anyone else think it’s lie? I think it’s true unless Kishimoto manages to make up some other sap story to make this one seem like a lie. It all fits somehow though so I don’t think he’s lying, and if he is, it makes my time wasted on Naruto even more wasted than before. 
Question remaining is, when will we ever see the other characters again?

I don’t blame Sasuke for being all “shokku!” either. This is the one time where we can accept it, cause this is kinda “shokku!” to have one’s entire raison d’etre tossed aside like that.
*sigh* Naruto Shippuden should just be renamed “Emo: The Teenage Years.”
I think more than the village of Konoha as a whole it’s more Danzo and the 2 elders who are dipshits. But I think the major point is that both sides were aggresive assholes who wouldn’t compromise either way.
clever tactic, used the whole “both parties were at fault” path.
Of course uchiha trying to take over the village was gonna get them fucked up, si too bad for them, i don’t think there’s a reason to complain now..

I don’t mean to spoil you, but Sasuke’s been trapped in a genjutsu this whole time =D.
Ok, maybe not. BTW, what the heck is the rest of the Hebi crew doing right now? Are they just sitting around waiting? Why won’t Sasuke answer his freaking phone?!
If Madara is not pulling Sauske’s skirt (lying), what is the next motivation? To go after the village? Reap revenge against them? That would fill the void that Orochimaru has left as lead villain. It gives Sauske true purpose in his anger (I guess) and thus conflict ensues.
Where as if he’s being lied to & manipulated, the same things can occur with one hell of a plot twist.
Either way, I’m so sick of Sauske. I was never that big a Sauske fan to begin with and this isn’t really helping. But I still have no clue what’s going to happen next with the exception that Hinata & TenTen will not be there. That I know.
Just a thought, Orochimaru was also the only of his kind right? After his parents “died” of course. What if this is the rest of his back story as well. Let’s not forget his “embedded clone” is still out there.

You know you would be back in Kishimoto’s corner if all these flashbacks somehow led to more romance.
hm i think the whole uchiha massacre was after the death of the 4th so he is redeamed and such… but oh god, what the hell? This is all becoming one big pity fest. And this playing out Itachi as a good guy seems so forced and out of it. Getting all this way to 400 and I feel like giving up on this series again already…
The only redeeming thing was the absurd broken look of Sasuke at the end which I lol’ed at… but I just wish they would stop with the Uchiha and Sasuke for just a bit… It is getting damn annoying and I would like to know what the rest of the cast (if there is one, cause I haven’t seen much people in the last few chapters) is up to. I missed it when it was actually about Naruto… T___T

Being the shounen lover I am, while reading 400 all I was thinking was
“Blah blah blah scarfice blah blah good of the village blah KILL HIS BROTHER (sarcastic gasp) emo Sasuke blah GET ON WITH IT ME WANT FIGHTS AND MORE RASEN SHURIKEN!!
I am now taking refuge in the fact that the Naruto filler has, dare I say it, become INTERESTING! I truly hope that the Bleach filler does the same, rather than being about a kidnap & rescue where everbody’s sad/startled and then happy. I mean, the OP pretty much reveals the entire plot of the arc.(Plus the horrible animation, just…no).
Please get better Bleach

I think 4 is dead by that point. Timeline is confusing now. I think he explicitely said Tsunade doesn’t know about any of this.
Yeah both sides were wrong. I’m sure the ultiimate ending will be NarutoxSasuke buttsecs resulting in a new world where Konoha and Uchihas can turn their emo to a bright new unified future. I actually found it interesting that Madara seemed to hate Uchiha more than Konoha. Also, I’m holding out a thin slice of hope that this is a case of unreliable/flat out lying narrator (since Madara is the narrator here).

::sigh:: remember when Naruto used have chapters filled with stuff people actually cared about
it’s no wonder shippuden sucks so much considering the material it has to work with, but honestly what has this series been reduced to when the main character has been subjected to making cameo appearances in the manga he’s named after. I wait in earnest for the day when kishimoto wakes up and starts telling a story that I actually care about again rather than dropping the ball week after week for 50 chapters at a time. 
I’m sure they named the manga ‘Naruto’ to ramble on and on about Sasuke.
I’m sure Kishimoto gets his inspiration or something from fanfiction, because these chapters have been all deja-vu to me.
I’m sticking with Bleach. At least the art is pretty.
I think kishimoto is just being lazy, even by his not great standards the uchiha designs are so fucking basic. He just doesn’t want to draw too many lines.

just started reading/watching that nabari no ou and and i tell ya with naruto its the season of emo ninjas.
they’re implying something about danzou in fillers as well as manga so it should be interesting.
thinking who at the moment can stand up to sasuke now he has those eye techs and because he doesn’t have mangy shargian , will he be able to use the techs without eye damage(loophole)?

Yeah3x.. I admit Sasuke is somehow emo but thats what will happen to most people when they see their family killed by someone that you look up to, isn’t it? Sasuke sure has a good mental since he didn’t decide to suicide..
Yeah.. He decided to take revenge which in the end is useless just like what Kakashi told him about.. Try to put yourself in his position and how would you feel??
If I become Sasuke maybe I will kill thode elderlies and Danzo.. But, It will only destroy what Itachi has done..

another one is that how would naruto, sai, sakura, kakashi, yamato, etc will react knowing about Jiraiya’s death.. I guess there will be another funeral after this..

‘explanations’ come near the end of a series, followed by ‘resolution’. Once the whole ‘explanation’ phase finishes with Sasuke & Co. I would expect to see Naruto+Kyuubi somehow bumbling their way into the middle of everything. As for History is written by the victors, and it’s no doubt that Akatsuki/Madara will have THEIR version of events (and all the justification for ‘whatever’ built into it) and Sasuke will probably follow ANYONE he thinks he can get power from. Conclusion: you can expect Madara is grooming Sasuke to fill Itachi’s shoes within the Akatsuki (I wish the plot weren’t so @#$% transparent).
As for Hokage III ordering Itachi to exterminate the Uchiha, I seriously doubt he was behind it (probably Danzou). No matter how much Uchiha-whining we have to endure, Konoha isn’t to be blamed. I could see Danzou being set up to be ‘the bad guy behind everything that’s gone wrong’, the true villain revealed at the beginning of the end. And if Tsudane gets killed in ‘the big battle we can all expect’, that would be the perfect ‘Sannin generational transition’ at the end of the story. Oh, yeah, and to make it more fun, all possible pairings should be ambiguously represented in the final scene. [evil laughter]
