Woops bought the wrong one!
I knew I made a mistake when there was Code Gayass on the cover but I saw “Soul Eater” in the fine print and a “BONES 10th Anniversary Special” so I couldn’t help myself…
I actually haven’t purchased any anime magazines since my December 2003 issue of Animedia (which I think I threw out if not misplaced somewhere.) While browsing rice cookers at Fujisan.com I saw a cover of Newtype with Soul and Maka on it so I ran to Kinokuniya during lunch - sad that I couldn’t find it. (The cover was too small for me to see that it was actually for the June issue not the may one.)
I was still kinda happy with the little bits of stuff they did give us on Soul Eater. Plus it makes a great “character sheet” handy when I do fanart anyway. I haven’t had a chance to read it in detail but I probably will later on.
So yea needless to say I’ll probably be picking up June’s issue soon as Kinokuniya gets it in (perhaps at the end of the month.)
Code geass fans (and I know one personally who really shouldn’t be one but anyway) will probably be happy with this issue as you get an entire booklet devoted to characters and episodes and crap and they also include a little clearfile with Lulu holding C.C. (Is that the official pairing now? I never watched this show lol.)
For the tsundere lovers there’s a Louise x Shana poster. (If DS hasn’t gotten this issue yet I think he will now.)

There was a little chapter blurb of Kobato - Clamp’s newest manga. I saw hugging and crying. I think I will read this now. 
The Rei poster that double has been fanboying (and fapping) over.
The slayers blurb that I think a bunch of people mentioned. Is it me or do Lina’s boobs looks really lopsided? It’s like she’s tried to grow them in the last 12 years or whatever but failed.
The new animes coming this summer. I might check out Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na KOto as I did sit through season 1. But it’s so slice of life I think it may put the majority of the bloggers to sleep. I dunno if I like the new girl either. Sekirei…reminds me of Divergence Eve. I mean look at those boobs? Did someone stick footballs down her shirt or what?
Haruhi season 2 blah blah whatever. (I think with the US explosion I’ve been Harooheed to death at every con when someone dances Harehare Yuukai.)
The horoscope section was really amusing to me. It’s like these horoscopes are clearly targetted towards Otaku who still live with their parents and get “allowances”. Also my ‘weak point’ was a “report” so clearly they assume everyone who reads this magazine is still in school ^^; I feel like such a fossil. Also the 2 signs above are Libra & Scorpio, JP and my own signs respectively. I think the images are an accurate representation of our personalities.

Ohhh. Is this Newtype? Newtype USA was cancelled, but I stopped buying it before its cancellation. It was pretty much all ads and the price got upped.
I want that Lulu and C.C. clear file. -3- And the tsundere poster. Ha, ha. The Japanese Newtype has such better content. Too bad I cannot read Japanese.
Wish I had that ShanaxLouise poster.

Lydia> I only have newtype from the original pilot issue they gave out free at Otakon 2002 and the one issue where they published my Chrno Crusade fanart. That’s about it. Yea the Japanese newtype (and any Japanese anime magazine) is far superior to the stupid ad packed American ones

uh if you’re referring to soul eater, it’s not even close to anything like Naruto or DBZ. i’m just going to assume you didn’t watch beyond episode 1 nor have you read any of the manga.

The first season of Code Geass was pretty good. Haven’t got myself to see the second one, though.
And there’s a new CLAMP manga? I got tired of Tsubasa with all those twists and random turns.

And no, Lulu X CC ain’t happening. R2 has cranked the Kallen dial all the way to eleven. (double entendre intentional) That clearfile is just to showcase her new outfit which I must say I highly approve.

@Hinano: Making out is different from a simple kiss. There’s nothing between Lelouch and any female in this series, although I’m sure them nutty shippers are inclined to disagree with me. If there’s a female he really cares about, it’s his blind and disabled loli sister, which is wonderful material for the siscon movement.
And what’s wrong with JP liking this show?
