I finally read through my Inukami vol. 1-5 that I picked up a couple months ago. Let me just say one thing that will probably disappoint Inukami anime fans: There were no elephant wangs. I was pretty surprised but while the entire anime seemed to focus on elephant wangs and perverted mans who shake their parts in public, the manga just specifically focused on well..Inukami and mostly Keita and Youko. I’m not sure if this manga is still going as I haven’t seen any new volumes past 5 anywhere but pretty much everything you find in the manga you’ll have seen in the anime - sans the elephants.

There’s a couple minor differences in the manga though. In the manga, Keita is actually 17 years old and still in high school, although I do not see him attending high school until like volume 4. He’s underage but yet he always smokes and drinks beer. I actually found this to be a downgrade on his character since he was a pervert as well it made him seem like he’s some erojiji lol.

In the manga Youko is VERRY jealous. I mean in the anime she always beat Keita for being a perv, but here it’s more like “how dare you hit on the other Inukami girls when you got a sexy fox like ME!” Also while in the anime it seemed like she was just a cocktease, here she would probably do Keita at any moment if he gave her the green light.

From my understanding this manga is Seinen so it’s also serialized in the same magazine as Shakugan no Shana and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan. In case you don’t get my drift: FANSERVICE. And when I say fanservice I mean HINANO service.

Needless to say I was happy to get my dose of Keita x Youko pr0n. Well at least if it wasn’t for the cockblocking gay Kappa who had the hots for Keita.

According to wikipedia the magazine Inukami was serialized in folded (Dengeki Comic Gao), so I’m not really sure if this manga was ever continued in another one. At this point I’m gonna go with no.
