Itazura na Kiss - 06
XD I rather 
enjoyed this episode and for once I’ll give props to Naoki for being pretty awesome when the going gets tough. Glad to see him warming up to Kotoko despite the fact that I wanted to run his balls through a meat grinder. This week they go through the New Years arc but that flew by really fast I pretty much was like Eh? because moments later they started talking about making chocolate for Valentine’s Day.
Naoki got a bad luck thing for New Years and he pretty much had bad luck (mostly thanks to Kotoko’s stupidity) throughout the entire episode. I gotta say this week Kotoko was pretty brainless and immature so I’ll give Naoki the victory. She gave him cold medicine that makes you drowsy right before his exam. It’s like a miracle that he passed, I woulda come back and kicked her ass if that happened to me. I mean come on wtf read the label WOOman.
So then she makes some really poisonous Valentine’s Day chocolate for him and has a taste…which then basically causes her intestines to explode similarly to how I feel after I’ve eaten a hot dog or ramen from Rai Rai Ken. So since she gets sick she decided not to give him the chocolate and before his Tokyo University exam she gave him a luck charm. That charm didn’t have much luck since it got caught in the train doors and he almost missed his stop.
To conclude the ever growing pile of bad luck, her stomach acts up again (it’s always your intestines not your stomach I’m telling you) and she basically nearly passes out on the ground. Oh do I know this feeling, reminds me of my first date with JP. 
He carries her to the nearest hospital but then doesn’t take the exam because he decides it’s more exciting to go to a college and be surrounded by idiots in comparison. (Hey sounds like my time at Rutgers Camden!) Kotoko also then thinks it’s cool to run away from home, but thankfully Naoki stops her from having stupid ideas. Really Kotoko, you’ve let me down this week. At least she told Naoki she loved him again

I’m getting so annoyed with Kotoko’s stupidity, I am geez just how stupid can she get, not reading labels, making poison chocolate, and bad at spelling…
Naoki was cool this time so I didn’t mind him as much, and definitely his feelings toward Kotoko are starting to change, so that’s good.
Also if he keeps being a jerk, Kotoko should just cook for him as punishment, maybe she can develop her own poison cooking like Bianchi. Xb

A person has to be pretty special to make up for it if they’re stupid. But I think Kotoko has grown on me.
Yeah, it’s easy to hate on Naoki but episodes like this remind us, he’s putting up with a fair amount of annoyance.
Death By Chocolate?
I think Kotoko was deliberately dragging Naoki down in an elaborate bad luck deception. As she cannot be as smart as him Kotoko probably figured that it was easier to make Naoki slightly dumber.
This is so sad… classic shoujo=((stupid girl + unbearable guy)*changing guys attitude*certain situations where they just have to be together). OK, Naoki is an ass but I can’t help thinking it’s partly because Kotoko is just that stupid. Seriously… what is she good at except blackmail and being bullied by friends to have tensai baka tutor her entire class.

Kotoko is even more annoying/stupid the manga…the anime tone it down a little, actually
