Blogger Meetup at Sakura Matsuri ‘08

And I’m talking about the one in Brooklyn not Washington D.C. I’ve never gone to this before so I figured there’s a first time for everything. It will take place this weekend in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. I’m only going for 1 day (tomorrow) but if you are able to make it you will get a chance to meet me, JP and DS (which you can also do if you actually attend all the local anime cons too lol.) While you’re at it, if you wish to cosplay outside an anime con (oh god forbid) you can win “goodies” from the guy walking around from New York Anime Festival. (I wish he’d give out free 1 day passes but that’s besides the point.) Anyway I’ll probably have photos and coverage once I return - but mainly I’m looking forward to the “photo op with giant sushi pillows”. :twisted:

    Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve been looking to experience the tea ceremony for a looooong time.

    Since I know how you look like from your ani-con pics, I’ll try to look out for you too. I’ll be the curious looking dude with cat ears. :lol:

    Too bad they don’t have a photo-op with giant dango pillows!

    And for those interested in the Japanese pop artist Takeshi Murakami, there’s an exhibition of his art at the Brooklyn Museum, right next to the botanical gardens!

I plan to attend that ito en tea making thing so maybe you’ll find me there -also I’m not cosplaying. xD I also have a red hand bag which is pretty hard to miss.

    I saw pics of those sushi pillows a while back and really wished they were selling it here XD

    I’d love to have one of those tasty-looking pillows! then you’ll have an excuse for drooling in your sleep lol.

    Man, I remember spending (well, my mom spending) around $40+ on a Pikachu plushie I wanted. It was soooo chubby…I HAD TO HAVE IT!!! Now that I look back, man I was a spoiled kid XD… errr, but thats besides the point! I definitely WOULD spend $40 on that sushi pillow!

    I’m probably sick in the head or something but it looks like mr shrimp here is humping ms sticky rice while they hold onto each other like seaweeds do :p
