Junjou Romantica - 04
Trying a
bit of a different approach this week I’m gonna try to summarize by memory like I do with my other shows - rather than summarize as I watch. This week there were like 4 Molest-Misaki scenes scattered throughout the episode, and it features a really ugly female. I mean, why is it that every female in this anime is so fucking ugly but all the guys are hot? It’s like in Ogiue’s fantasy, how all the ugly fat guys were bishounen and Saki looked like some ugly prostitute lol. It must be some sort of BL works thing, cause god forbid there be beautiful WOMEN! 
So anyway, Misaki is for some reason in great denial that he has a thing for Usami, despite buttsecksing him before. I mean really, how do you not have a thing for someone after you do it with them and can’t stop thinking about them? He acts like a 13 year old little girl who just had her first crush or something. Actually while watching this episode I kept imagining doing some gender bender of Misaki as a girl, and seriously it would work - I mean look at the poses he makes lol.
Misaki gets all jealous because the editor lady to him is “beautiful” (Misaki you have no taste in women, but that’s a obvious revelation) and he thinks that Usami likes her and enjoys spending time with her. She always comes over because he gave her the key to the apartment and she brings over all sorts of sweets for them. So the whole time Misaki is moping and angsting that he wants buttsecks from Usami but when Usami jumps him, he’s all like “NO STOP”. Bitch stfu and stop acting like a little girl.
So finally Misaki finds out that the editor lady has the keys to the apartment because he always misses deadlines and this way she can come and force him to work on his gay porn books faster. Also it turns out she’s a rabid yaoi fangirl, and she enjoys reading the books and watching Usami molest Misaki. 
So in the end as usual after their fight, they kiss and buttsecks and live happily ever after. Also, despite Keiichi’s attempts to lure Misaki in for some buttsecks, (and to be honest, he really invite him to “share a bed”) Misaki only wants Usami to “touch” him.

All the women in this are fugly because they can’t be a competition for the guys. Or maybe is a way to say that because the women are fugly, the guys have no other choice but to look at other guys…
Man, if only this show had been on when I took my Gay Japanese Lit. class, I could’ve used it for my seminar paper. (although maybe it’s for the best that I stuck with Mari-Mite)

He’s FABULOUSLY gay.
The class was awesome, but something of a double-edged sword. I read some awesome stuff, but I also read/watched some stuff I really wish I hadn’t. Like the short story about a gay guy who’s so into masturbation (we were discussing the theory of homosexuality as a form of self pleasure) that he father’s a son so that he can sex him up and imagine he’s having sex with himself.
But in the end he reaps what he sows when the son leaves him for a younger, hotter guy and he gets genital cancer.
After having read stuff like that Junjou Romantica seems positively tame.

I’m tempted to watch this just to see why yaoi fangirls love yaoi so much but I’ll save my eyes. And about the gender bend thing, the pic totally matchs but I prefer KyonkoxHaruki..

Come to think of it… my intiial interest in yaoi came from that episode of Genshiken. I may have to watch that one again.

Buttsecks score of 4 this week. I guess it’s the boobs getting in the way. But hey, you can’t have yaoi without the scary fangirls.
I eventually decided to watch an episode of this show. Seems to be standard yaoi fare, but I don’t have the context to know what would be considered “good” or “bad” about it. Still better than watching flabby-fox shota-rape. (I even think it’s better than clueless-tomboy playing with rich-kids.) What’s with the eyes, though? Studio Deen did the same thing in Amatsuki.
@L-chan: I’ve noticed that for all the incest in Japanese literature, it almost always results in divine punishment. (Doujins aside, of course.)
@Telliamed: Yeah, that’s often the case. But the guy really did deserve everything he got. He basically just used this poor lady as an egg donor then totally ignored her and mistreated her after she had the baby until she died (I think? Or did she leave? Either way he was an ass). All for the sake of self-insertion buttsecks.
And while I read a lot of frightening stuff in that class, I also read some truly romantic stuff. When we were reading the Pre-Modern stuff there were some really romantic poems. All the yaoi fangirls in class were like “Moooeee . . . .”
Oh, and Jun’ichiro Tanizaki’s “Quicksand”? DON’T READ IT. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON’T READ IT. IT’S LIKE IF MARI-MITE WAS GIVEN A DEMENTOR’S KISS AND ALL THE LOVE AND HAPPINESS AND MOE SUCKED OUT OF IT.
I’ve watched the 1st & 2nd episodes. Where’s the bumming? in epi 1 he only gave him a reach around(he licked something off his fingers :shock:) and in epi 2, he went apple bobbing. Either way its one of the funnier comedies this season for the wrong reasons.

This is what had all the internet boys squicked out? I’ve never watched BL or yaoi before, but after all the racket, I picked it up. I mean, that’s it, seriously? An occasional kiss and sex that lasts for TEN WHOLE SECONDS. Sometimes less! Fastest guns in Japan! Hahahaha.
It out-shoujo’s a lot of shoujo, for real. Pink and flowers and blushing and hugging and sweet jesus, the giant teddy bears! I think it’s a riot.
Rhetorical question: why do older (or somewhat aggressive) female characters in anime get slathered with horrible lipstick? I thought the editor was OK looking except for the grotesque mouth they drew on her. *ponders*
