It’s really interesting the pattern Persona has developed over the last few episodes. The episode starts out pretty calm with lots of talking and planing etc. We have some interaction between all the characters and when I’m tired I have trouble keeping my eyes open when watching. Then the last 8-10 minutes suddenly shit hits the fan, all hell breaks loose and I go “whoa wtf just happened??” That was basically the pattern this week as well.

The beginning shows Akihiko telling the gang that well they gotta fight these Marebito because all they are doing is causing harm to themselves and others that they pull into their group. Relying on those tablets of theirs as well is making it even worse. Megumi gets pissed saying they’re all still in high school and there’s no reason why they should have to fight. Takurou agrees with her as well but feels bad leaving Shin to fight alone so he comes along anyway.

When they get to the temple where the Marebito have gathered, they got a truck load of those drugs. Oh also they first run into the other twin who also has that people crawling out of his persona thing going on. The cop dude tells them to leave him be because he’s too screwed up to fight. Anyway at the temple thing, Tachibana drives off with the drugs (dropping a few boxes behind) and then Shin fights the dudes 1 on 2 because Takurou still doesn’t have proper control of his Persona.

All hell pretty much breaks loose from here when that one obnoxious faggot (I really have a hard time remembering names in this show) says to Shin that it’s “his fault for interfering”. The cop guy wants to take them to the hospital and talk to their parents but I’m guessing at this point they either don’t have parents or their only guardian is that erojiji. They manage to like grab Shin and like tentacle porn him. But since Shin is a dude it’s not like tentacles from Druaga or Karen Children, they just shove them into his stomach.

At that time Jun comes to save him but he gets like lasered through his shoulder too and passes out. Finally Takurou shows up to help and by then everyone else arrives too. Shin got so pissed about Jun getting hurt that he destroyed one of the other guy’s Personas completely forcing the 2 marebitos to retreat. Eventually Megumi arrives as well and begins banging on the door of the temple. Shin & Takurou (and me) are confused until she says “This is my house”. Whoa wtf?

Upcoming Attractions: Time for us to find out more crap about Megumi that we probably didn’t expect.
