Itazura na Kiss - 03

apparent reason, here comes episode 3 of Itazura na Kiss 
This week’s episode dealt with the sports festival. Before I go into the summary a few points of interest are Kotoko’s hair and the lack of eyes on all the side characters. She wears her hair in 2 tiny braids that stick out and make her look like Pippi Long Stocking. During the festival, even if the side characters/other classmates are in a closeup they still have no face. I mean is it that hard to draw something like (○・v・◎)? Also it seemed like Kotoko’s dad had the camera glued to his face 80% of this episode, even when they were eating lunch lol.
The episode began with a flashback to the last few minutes of episode 2 which was a bit unnecessary. After the op the real ep 3 finally starts with Naoki walking into Kotoko’s room to find her asleep with tears all over her face. Basically she cried herself to sleep after re-reading her rejected confession letter. So he sits on her bed, takes the letter and reads it. LoL Tsundere much? The next day is the usual antics where the mom wants Naoki and Kotoko to marry but he denies as usual. Anyway in the school it’s now time for the sports festival!
It looks like Class F is winning (they have like 308 points wtf?? NicoNico ppl were like F CLASS IS STRONGGG!!) During one of the relay races, Naoki’s mom forces him to watch Kotoko run. Kotoko is running the relay and comes up to a table where she picks a note out of a box and has to run with whatever the note says. As required in Shoujo manga, she picks “Suki na Hito” (the person she likes) but when she thinks of picking Naoki to run with her, she sees him giving her a nasty look. Instead she asks his dad to run with her ^^;;
After that it’s yet another relay race (wtf is with this sports festival) and while she’s running to hand the baton to Kin-chan (Osaka boy), she suddenly gets hearts in her eyes and imagines herself as a princess running into the arms of her Prince Naoki. This part was sooo retarded 
He was like wtf you’re running to the wrong person. She then ends up tripping and falling on top of Kin-chan. Needless to say due to her stupidity they lose the race. However near the end, when Naoki runs through the ribbon, someone pushes her out of the crowd and she falls right in front of the finish line - making Naoki trip and fall on top of her ^^;;
At home that night it is revealed that Kotoko wrote Naoki a love letter and Naoki has read it. Kotoko then slaps him hard for peeping into her private things. YOU GO GIRL. This of course makes the mom happy but then out of nowhere Kin-chan bursts into the house proclaiming his love for Kotoko. He tells Naoki “What’s the big deal you hate her anyway” and Naoki counterattacks with “Well maybe I’ll like her tomorrow”. Listen Tsunderella boy, stop being a pansy fag before I nice boat you. The best part is the next day at school where it’s another prank of someone posting a drawing of Naoki & Kotoko getting married…but rather than cry & get upset at his yelling, she counterattacks with “Yea well you said you could like me tomorrow so 
” Naoki = 0, Kotoko 1.

Ah this is great, it’s like some kind of shoujo museum. Take that angsty new things, this is how it’s done.
ahahaha… this episodes sounds like a total cheeseball! wai~! I totally miss cheeseball episodes… come to think of it… i’d usually flame cheesy episodes too but since this anime is reminiscient of 90s shoujo fluff, you can’t help but rave about it.
but i’m glad that kotoko can stand up to that evil evil boy.

Tch, I can believe the bastard, at least Kotoko finally slapped him, even if he deserves worse.
Another good epi but I want that bastard to suffer.
Good to see that F class can prove their physical superiority over the other classes. I suspect that their choice of green helped immensely. These danged subs can’t come any faster, but good to know that Naoki is already breaking, this vague tomorrow will not be long in coming. Poor Kin-chan I can’t help but feel sorry fro the guy as Kotoko has no romantic feelings for him, at least he got very close…
Glad to see Kotoko is appreciating the fan art clearly the school is infested with KotokoxNaoki shippers.

Yeaaa Kotoko totally pwns this episode. I dunno if this is different from the manga but if it is then thumbs up to the anime team

They’re doing about one chapter per episode (50 page chapters though), I wonder how far they are going to get and what they are going to skip, considering that the manga goes through 2 years of highschool, 3ish years of college, and then grad school.
Ahahaha! Man, this is the stuff classic anime is made of. Groundbreaking is nice, but this is what keeps you a devoted anime fan.

I liked it when Naoki picked Kotoko up and brought her to the nurse’s office.. He was all like “I’m used to it”- referring to the “trouble” Kotoko has caused him. The scene with Kotoko slapping Naoki was AWESOME
…his face was priceless!
