Vampire Knight - 02

Well so far I’m enjoying my Monday fill of vampires and bishies. Currently for god knows what reason I really like Zero. The other vampire dude just seems either a) a lolipedobear - I mean look how young Yuki was when he met her b) An elitist fag who just acts all nice but in reality is an obsessive freak who wants to hog Yuki all to himself and do things seen in Last Friends :mad: c) He’s just a pansy wannabe and everyone fears him as a leader but in reality Zero could kick his ass hard. Now I’m just saying this based on 2 episode impressions, for all I know he could be a man beast in the manga.

I’ve been meaning to read Vampire Knight ever since I heard it was gonna be turned into an anime but I’m crawling my way through Katekyo Hitman Reborn (whose anime I avoided like the plague) and I still haven’t caught up to the latest Shounen Jump chapters. (Damn I just realized I read like 3 shounen jump mangas a week! Crazy!) I typically hate emo bishies cause sometimes I wanna just slap them but I can totally justify Zero’s emoness and let’s face it, we all love Miyano Mamoru apparently. :twisted:

The one thing I have trouble with in this show is the comedy. I can’t really compare Ouran comedy style to the comedy style in this show. With Ouran I was rolling on the couch laughing, with this one I’m more like umm okay.. :neutral: The show in general feels like a serious bishy emo vampire fest to me and I actually enjoy the “dark” scenes a lot more than the jokes. Actually jokes about fangirls sqeeling over vampire bishies is pretty stale to me at this point. Or maybe it’s more of the fact that it reminds me of fangirls at anime cons who run around screaming and need to be sedated with a good wack of their own yaoi paddles.

I mean come on, getting in line for some chocolate? And then when they get rejected cause the guy has like 6 boxes in his hand - they’re totally ok with it. Also why the hell are there soo many women at that school? I mean they showed 1 guy giving chocolates to that girl (lol that actually made me laugh) but did I miss some explanation on why there’s so many freaking women at that school? Do they purposely recruit females because the male vampires requested it or something? :lol:

Also I was really hoping Zero would bite or lick or do something naughty. I hope that happens in one of these episodes. :twisted:

    Kaname’s motives make a hell of a lot more sense later in the manga (though they still haven’t explored them completely yet) ^^

    You shouldn’t read the manga, it will only spoil your fun. Be patient. But if you want I can tell you what happens next. XD
    Also, the dark scenes are the best parts of the manga, I never paid that much attention to the light parts, i.e. the crazy fangirls.

    Ah it’ll be a while before I start on it. I wanna catch up on Reborn, finish Trigun Maximum, read Inukami and catch up on Neuro (i’m 3 weeks behind now lol)….so hopefully the anime will have gone at least half way through by the time i start

    That’s a good way to do it, I actually stopped reading it to not spoil myself too much, but I think it was to late. :cry:
    Also, you’re reading that much. That’s good, now I don’t feel as weird reading all the manga I’m reading. :3

    I happen to like Zero’s emoness. =3 Cuz it’s his REAL persona. I like it alot better then Ikuto’s emoness, when he’s really not THAT emo, but it is intensified in the anime. All your impressions are correct actually. Zero does kick Kaname’s ass. :grin:

    Don’t worry- he’ll be plenty naughty. I think the next epie covers chapter 3 and in that chapter Zero loses to his naughty vampire instincts with licking and biting and all. :smile:

    Lol. You just made me notice that! I have no friggin idea why there’s 99% girls in the day class. It didn’t say in the manga. Maybe they’re there cuz of all the bishie vampires. There’s mostly guy vampires in the night class and I don’t think guys would go for that, unless they were gay.

    I have a feeling you won’t like kaname later to. heh.
    IMO. Zero is a zero in my book. I find him an annoying emo boy.
    I really got fed up at him in the manga….(dropped it. I plan on continuing the anime though. Maybe I will read the manga again after being spoiled)

    I normally like these types but Zero only managed to annoy me starting from vol 2. (He was just a “meh” type for me in vol. 1) Yuuki also had those moments where I’m just :sad:

    and I really don’t understand why people don’t like Kaname and come up with the overused reason. “I think he has an hidden agenda” :mad: (at least give a better reason) I always thought Kaname will get the shaft. I’m rooting for KanamexYuuki but knowing it’s a shoujo manga it’s probably Zero….

    To tell you the truth, as the reader of the manga ( since years ago ), i’d assure you they did not potray zero the way he is in the manga. :mad: He’s not this emo just cold towards anyone except yuuki. And i have to say that the anime put a lot more funnier scenes than how it suppose to be in the manga. :sad:

    I’ll gladly will comments here weekly to spoil you if you want me to. :twisted: Just to compare both version according to my memory of the manga, though.

    Well, you know, Kaname get the no.1 spot as the favourite character in the poll based from the Lala magazine. Who said he don’t have large fans? :razz:

    It’s just yuuki x zero pairing take down the yuuki x kaname pairing ( and this is based on the poll, too ). :twisted:

    Though as of the recent manga, it seems the pairing come towards to yuuki x kaname.. rejoice, fans.

    If the comedy is what is keeping you interested in Vampire Knight, you probably won’t enjoy the manga as much, since the manga tends to have a more dramatic tone overall. The first chapters are pretty funny, but the later chapters take on a more serious tone and have little if any comedy.

    I really like Zero too! He has a sexiness about him :razz: umm the vampire guy yuki likes is um..well different? His hair is ugly :mad: lols.. The blonde male vampires are hotties though :smile:

    I’m sure Yuuki will end up with Zero though since it’s typical.
    I like Kaname so much more to MY SURPRISE. My love only grew for him.
    Devotion etc. I like the Kanyuuki pair. There’s something beautiful about those two. Got to love the childhood chapters and such.
    Everything that makes me fangirl a lot is good in my book.

    Zero could have had so much potential though :sad:

    yahh. Hino Matsuri hits you hard in the face with her recent chapters. im not sure why i never liked kaname, my frined practically slaps me acorss the playground when i go kaname sucks. :cry: so that is why, yuuki can end up with anyone, because the mangaka slapped us all in the face with a tuna fish from chapters 31 - 36. i repeat bleeding lovee =(

    there is huge support for yuukixkaname and yuukixzero, and even more on fanfiction.com for zeroxkaname, it’s quite scary. is this considered ranting? i hope not, i sound like a idiot :cry:

    You’re dead on about the Kaname thing.
    He’s exactly the same in the manga.
    He’s all “Omg, like Lawlz, I’m such a pedo.”
    Whiel Zero’s all “Yuki end it all for me. Just pull the trigger and let loose and I’ll go and you’ll be safe cause I’m hot and he’s not.”
    Seriously.
    He bites her….like 5 mil times.
    Like, ten on the neck, once on the wrist, once on the finger.
    Dude they do it in the bathroom and the halls.
    You need to read the manga, it’s very sexy.
    (And there’s some fantasmical yaoi that involves Zero sinking his fangs into Kaname while pointing a gun at Kaname’s neck. There’s blood fucking everywhere.)
