It’s been a while since I did a real rant & rave post so here I go for old time’s sake. I was just thinking what my fellow comrad does on his blog and flames everyone while shutting comments off so no one can flame him back. While I really don’t care to flame people or bloggers, as most of you know I often flame a poorly animated show that strays from the manga or doesn’t follow it. Similarly, when I do manga reviews I often post scanlations that I do on my own and not ones that I got off some website. Despite all this, you still get idiots who come here (most likely via google) and then comment and attempt to flame me on a post that’s over months old. What do I have to do to get it through their thick skulls that my blog is a) not your PMS rant forum b) not an anime summary database c) is biased towards my opinion. Is it even possible? Well so far I’m enjoying my Monday fill of vampires and bishies. Currently for god knows what reason I really like Zero. The other vampire dude just seems either a) a lolipedobear - I mean look how young Yuki was when he met her b) An elitist fag who just acts all nice but in reality is an obsessive freak who wants to hog Yuki all to himself and do things seen in Last Friends c) He’s just a pansy wannabe and everyone fears him as a leader but in reality Zero could kick his ass hard. This episode basically covered chapter 5 of the manga. In regards to the beginning part with the re-introduction of the characters - it’s something they did in the manga for the first couple of chapters. It’s kinda of annoying though in the anime since like “yes we know who they are and no we don’t care what place they’re in other than Kei and Hikari’s 1/2″. I hope the anime doesn’t follow suit and keep doing the character introduction thing for the next few episodes. Continue Reading »

Just as a note I will be comparing this episode to Thursdays and note any differences for the next couple of weeks but the main blogging day will remain as Monday. Alright so this week the focus is on the other team of human + weapon and its Tsubaki and Blackstar. This weekend I was in Manhattan’s garment district trying to get some ribbon to complete our Reborn cosplay for New York Comic Con happening this weekend. Anyway for god knows what reason the Garment District has their own little Blue Law and every freaking store (except the bead ones) was closed. So now I am ribbon-less and can’t do my Reborn cosplay for the con. So I throw out a question to fellow New Yorkers - is there another place I can get ribbon at?? Or do I have to run like the wind after work hoping one of these stores will be open?

If I can’t get ribbons I may have to revive my Shugo Chara cosplay, but that’s gonna suck since I’ll have to carry our wigs and then put them on in a bathroom somewhere at the Javitz Center (because I’m not wearing a bright pink wig in the middle of the subway. I did that once and all the lolis and shotas couldn’t take their eyes off me ) Anyway if you’re going I’m only going to be there Saturday with JP. I know my usual con buddy is gonna be there and perhaps if we have time before the T.M. Revolution concert we can all have some Shabu Shabu for dinner.
