Monday Premieres: BL, Vampires & Grim Reapers
Monochrome Factor - I didn’t know anything about this show going in, and coming out all I could think of is “Yaranaika?” LOL is this a BL anime?? I’m googling everywhere and nowhere does it list it as BL, but it’s hard to think of this as anything but gay when some gay grim reaper shows up, makes out with the hero to give him “special powers” to defeat weird looking monsters..and then in the preview the gay grim reaper tells us of his fantasies with the hero. Also the only girl I saw in the show is so tsundere that every line out of her mouth sounds like someome has a knife to her throat. Some parts kinda amused me and I let out a chuckle, but all the BL crap is too much! I can’t take it!! 
Can someone confirm whether this show is BL or not? If it’s really just a big homo joke then I may check out episode 2.
Soul Eater - Man this show is awesome! I am definitely gonna pick this up for my Monday show. I dunno what it is, maybe the animation? The silly comedy? The lack of tits & ass in every other scene? Well whatever it is, it was awesome and I’m gonna continue watching & covering it. I also really like that Soul’s voice is a MAN not Mamiko Noto. Ugh no more shota voiced by females please!! T_T Man this show is awesome, I cannot continue talking about how awesome it is. In addition to the awesome the OP is done by TM Revolution. I hope he performs it at the New York Comic Con 
Vampire Knight - Well what can I say? It’s a gothic and dark shoujo anime with lots of bishies and Miyano Mamoru 
I plan to pick this up, as I can’t go wrong with hot undressed guys and vampire anime is always sexy. (Except with its Rosario to Vampire in which case the anime was an abomination.) That’ll make my Monday lineup “Demon Mondays” since both shows deal with “creatures from the netherworld” 
Just as a note, I have not read the manga, so my thoughts/posts will be purely based on what I’m watching from the anime. I wanted to read the manga but I figured if I Did that all my posts would end up being about how much the anime sucks in comparison and the show would be pretty much ruined for me. So for now I think I’ll keep myself manga free.

Perfect, you pick the two shows that I was looking forward to.
If you like Miyano Mamoru, and who doesn’t?, then you might like Soul Eater more because he is the voice for my favorite shinigami, Death the Kid, who happens to suffer from OCD.
Also, I’m pretty sure Monochrome Factor is BL. I think Usagijen wrote in a spring review that it was BL… I can’t remember

I kinda like Soul Eater (the scythe weapon thing)’s voice. Although it sounds familiarly like a certain Uchiha….

Yeah Soul’s voice sound fine, does it sound like an Uchiha? Didn’t notice? I need to watch it again.
I’ve been reading the Soul Eater manga and was really looking forward to the anime; it certainly didn’t disappoint! Although I’m a little worried since it’s set to run 52 episodes… there’s probably enough material for it, but I hope Bones doesn’t come up with a terrible ending.
(Plus, Koyasu Takehito is going to voice Excalibur in a couple episodes and man is that gonna be awesome

I read Vampire Knight. I haven’t watched it yet though, so I can’t say whether it sucks in comparison. YAY! Miyano Mamoru!! The seiyuu with a deep smexi voice that I would marry for. <333 And also the seiyuu that played my two of my favorite characters: Tamaki Suou and Light Yagami. And now he’s in Soul Eater, too, right?
I think Yui Horie was a good choice, even though she did play slutty Siesta from Znt. I didn’t quite like the opening, but I’ll probably get used to it.
Oh, and how about you watch the anime first for Vampire Knight, then the manga? Then you can rant.

As for Mono, I just friggin KNEW it was yaoi-ish from the promo images alone. You can’t fool me into watching BL!
i love soul eater
the manga came out fr quite a while.. its still oingoing and i juz simple love the action… and square enix has gave me more than wad i expected.. the animation HD quality was like… WHAOS.. and i swoop my face on teh screen the moment it started 
the seiyuu was cool too nice voices xD 
I wasn’t interested in Soul Eater at first glance, but it seems at this point like I’d better check it out
I thought Monochrome Factor was just a pretty boy anime/manga and not BL (along the lines of something like Weiss Kreuz or Saiyuki — both attract BL fans, but neither are “really” BL), but my only source is some manga review I read way back when

*_* Can i spoil hinano on vampire knight? please please~. Anyway, I do not think you will criticize too much even with the manga read (Is following the manga currently to the latest chapter). That said, I am usually much kinder than most anime bloggers who can kill with their words. Rofl!

By the way, how the hell did you survive watching Monochrome Factor for the whole 20 odd minutes? I bail out in 7 minutes. It’s so bad that it does not even turn good. It just stays bad and I got so sick. I mean, i watch yaoi shows after being forced by my girlfriend, and EVEN those shows are not that bad. Some of them are even rather watchable due to hilarious lines.

You know the picture on Monochrome Factor…honestly looks like a anime version of Michael Jackson with the hat and white gloves with the added extra hair…just a thought…

I finally was able to find something conclusive regarding the BL in monochrome, because I too was worried and thrown off by but still willing to watch it. Apparently it’s of the purely action and supernatural genre and all the shounen-ainess is I guess one big running gag that’s destined to breed millions of shounen-ai fanfiction for the yaoi fangirls to fufill their fantasies of what will never happen in the actual anime.

Of course. I knew you were gonna say that. You need to stop bashing innocent anime once in a stinking while (ex: Kamichama Karin, Shugo Chara!, etc.)! I’m getting really tired of it.
after watching that, truly, i like the manga better. but i don’t want to spoil it or force you to end up reading the manga, so please continue watching the anime 8D

You should make a disclaimer that says “this blog’s writer is prone to anime bashing, especially if it is based on a manga, I do this because the mangas are sometimes better than the anime. If you don’t agree with my views, GTFO.” Or something like that.
Also, Kamichama Karin sucked and Shugo Chara is bad at times… well I prefer the mangas, but that’s my opinion.

Vampire Knight is awesome, can’t get enough of it. I felt they missed out some parts from the manga in the first epi. Oh well, they can’t add everything or later it’ll be boring since we know what’s gonna happen. I’m really glad that the director was part of the staff in my 5 other fave anime, hope there’ll be no fillers…
