Providence Adult Anime Con gets a thumbs down.
Back last
year I mentioned how it would be awesome to have an adult only anime convention. Sure we still have tards over 21, but the majority is in the under 18 range. I actually seriously thought about attending Providence Anime Conference, until of course they posted their registration procedure. It’s $65 for the first 250 people, and after that it goes up to $75. Are you fucking joking? Lol. Just because we’re adults, doesn’t give them justification to charge ridiculous pricing. Their “reasoning” is that we have less people, therefore less funding and therefore they need to jack up the price. Excuse me, but Manga Next cost like $15 in its first year and it had a 2000 person cap too so don’t give me that crap. While I still think the con is a good idea, I’ll let someone who has money to waste visit it for me and write up a review. For now I think I’ll stick to New York Anime Festival for my fall convention.

That sucks.
What’s up with anime cons and bad planning lately? I’ve been going to one, Portcon Maine for the past three years or so, but I’m not going this year, because for some RETARDED reason, they though it would be a good idea to schedule the con on 4th of July weekend.
Seriously, wtf? The traffic’s gonna move an inch or so every hour, and the con is already a 2 hour drive away.
I won’t be going to any cons until this one: http://www.anotheranimecon.com/ in October, as it’s in my city.
Yea I honestly don’t know. I’m starting to regret registering for Anime Next.
Forget Anime Next. Go to Connecticon!
No seriously fuck Connecticon and their assholes who run it thank you.
Come to Connecticon and show them your tsun-side in person!
$65??? you’re kidding me! they better have a hell of a goodie bag and a free meal for con attendees. where i am, entrance to any con average $1.80 and come out happy and satisfied.
